I was on the wait list, but I canceled. I spoke with corner store comics and they were still doing pre order because they had not sold all they were going to get yet.

First in hand image from over at ThrowMeTheIdol. They promise more pics tonight!:

Wow, the portrait looks much better painted than the proto, 5 O'Clock shadow looks great, don't want to get too excited too soon but this looks great so far. I really love that Sideshow's including wrist pegs for every hand.

Ditto... My excitement increases with each passing momemt (and accompaying pic).

Jacket looks pretty good, can't judge it until I have it in my hands though, feel the material quality and all.

Yeah, not the best photography in that pic, but things look definitely promising! That fertility idol sure is nice and shiny! I too like the new hands. Are these the same as Clone Wars Obi-Wans? Are those ball joints at the wrist? Anyway, they look much sturdier than the buck's for sure. Can't wait for more pics!

I imagine the ball joints at the wrists will be the same for armor body and prometheus figures, saves money to use the same molds.

Not sure if I like the gloved hands...I was never crazy about them in the proto pics. Hopefully they look better in person. Not that they take away from my anticipation any.

No, that's the only snag I ran into. Giles' shoes don't fit the TrueType (hence the socked body in the pic). I actually purchased some real leather shoes from MonkeyDepot to use. But if they're out, and you can't find any at your local dealer, you can find 1:6 dress shoes all over ebay for about $10 shipped. I'm using a tiny piece of Q-tip stem for chalk to jam between the index and middle fingers of his pointing hand and some kind of book for him to hold in the other. Just wish I could find a 1:6 scale book like the bible they used in Raiders during the scene where he's talking about the Ark. I actually thought about using Gandolf's spellbook and painting the Ark on the exposed page and medieval text on the other, but I...just...can't. It's the exclusive :rotfl. So I might just try to make a custom one.

Thinking more about the Prof. Indy custom and another item that he could hold could be the Cross of Coronado that came in one of the Hasbro 3 3/4 line. It's 1/6 and Indy does handle it when he gives it to Marcus at the beginning of TLC.

The look fine to me. Only questionable things in the box are the head on the body, the protective plastic is making that area look a bit awkward, and the angle on the hatless head make it look a little strange. Looks like the paint apps are pretty good match between the heads, I'm sure that was a bit of a challenge. It's one thing if portraits don't match well from one figure to another, but with 2 heads in a box, matching them is important.

Tru al dat, but My initial paint apps fears have been quenched... for now. And all the goodies look terrific, never had a doubt about that stuff... even the whip looks well crafted for a wired piece...

Some pics are up at Toy World. Difficult to make too many judgements. The bright light washes out the stubble so it looks a little too light.

Looking forward to getting him tho!

Indiana Jones

Yeah, washed out facial tones there, and the hat looks waaay dark there yet the loose hat looks painted about right... must be some lighting issues going on...

There must be pics popping up on other Asian sites too... xl-shop, etc...

Right with you, it's a HUGE relief that the portrats came out so well, the 5 O'Clock shadow is there, but quite faint, as it should be. Other than wanting to see how he looks out of the package, not much I'm worried about with this one anymore, just pure excitement. If there's any issue with the jacket, we can reach out to Sovereign for relief. In the box, the wrinkles look natural, not like T-800, so hopefully it's a nice material.

Looks great to me, and I must say, looks like SSC finally painted a Harrison Ford portrait with eyes that look right for him. You could argue a part of it's sculpt, but Trev's Han Solo is as good as his Indy and that figure didn't get good eyes.
