Mine is fine, or at least it was last time I looked, gonna have a close scrutinise tonight though. Mine sits out in the open in my dining room, it's been there since I first got it.

Sorry about the sombrero, it's my wifes idea of comedy to put on the various figures I have displayed from time to time!

This pic was taken at the begining of the year and it looks fine in the b/g... but now you've got me worried as I haven't looked really closely at it for ages1

Just checked mine out of curiosity and, yep, there is some slight deterioration on the first left sided "bend" and it is pulling away from the back. Sux. If there is no fix for it, it's goin to the bay.

Just took a close look at mine, and likewise its pulling away from the back, nothing major, I think a spot of Super-Glue shouls stick it, but I'm a bit more worried long-term how it'll hold up!

I superglued the top edge of mine about a year ago. The trouble is, the stress acting on the rubber is just transferred to a new area. In my ED's case it started to split the rubber about an inch and a half forward of the edge.
The only solution is a new covering with a more resilient material. :(

Mine seems fine, had him about 6 or more months out in the open in my room. Since reading this thread I've stuck him in my display cabinet.

You'd hafta really be up on mine to see it, so I'm gonna ride it out for now. It's too cool of a fig to give up on. Hopefully someone will be brave enough to pull their's apart and cast a resin piece to replace the foam rubber.

I'm running out of display space and my perfect ed-209 needs to go back in it's box,
has anyone got any tips/advice on the best way to get him apart without breaking his bits ?
he was a real tight fit to put together and I'm wondering if it's going to be an impossible job ?
which is a shame because he would need to be boxed up if i decide to sell him. :(

Is anyone here thinking about casting a resin piece to replace the rubber with? A nice one with some great looking paint would sell well here. I'd buy one.
