Yea why make Neo if you're not planning on at least Morpheus, Trinity, and Agent Smith. They all would have sold out.

As far as I'm concerned Hot Toys ultimately sabotaged their own license and screwed over the fans with their conservative approach to The Matrix. Any one of those other characters put up for preorder at the same time as Neo and it would have mutually bolstered the sales of both figures.

But people have so little faith in Hot Toys to see a license through to even the most basic requirement at this point that when only one figure went up for preorder it turned them off the whole endeavour.

I think it?s safe to say Terminator and Batman really should be left off the list. While certain films have not gotten a good treatment, the license itself has been done to death by the major producers. I would also call Aliens off the table

Terminator and Aliens are my go-tos but I figured they fell outside of the bounds you dictated in your original post having actually had decent albeit not entirely satisfying runs in the past. Aliens would be closer to needing the revisit due to being older figures of a lesser standard than Terminator went on to get.

It's gotten to the point where if HT announce a wanted license it is a hollow feeling. Like if they got the Boys, we would only see Homelander at cons for years.

I think you have to be some form of masochist to want Hot Toys to get a license now. They'll just torture you with ridiculous wait times and false hope.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Sideshow did a fantastic job back in the day, with a huge coverage of characters and variants, it would be awesome to see what could be done in the current marketplace with today's technology and higher price points.

Star Trek- tons of shows and characters to draw from. Easy to milk with multiple characters in similar costumes but also unique designs.

Nanjin Tam has this covered.

I waited 2 months for an executable Contract.

I received a signed ?executable? contact on Sept 7, 2020 (1 hour before Trek BDay)

I see that as the day I became the captain of my own ship.

All I need to do is to advise and receive confirmation from Starfleet Command. I am free to travel anywhere within Trek verse (I have ALL Trek ALL territories)

I have 1/6 All Trek from any universe (even the animations), and all possible space time continuums, and in all 4 quadrants.

Note that even I can roam freely in 1/6 Trekverse, I still have to follow Starfleet's orders and Prime Directive.

A tiny dust on the figure eyeball will also be my responsibility from this point forward....

My journey to manning my own ship actually is being documented here at SSF.

From a no body to a Captain.

Awesome thread.

- LOTR. (I know Asmus have the license but feel HT could give us better headsculpts!)
- Mad Max
- Die Hard
- Sleepy Hollow Headless Horseman
- The Shining
- The Fifth Element
- Indiana Jones
- Wrestling - massive market there
- Watchman revisit
- Kill Bill
- Joker (2019)
- Dawn of the Dead (original)
- Finish Matrix line
- Finish Zack Snyders JL line
- Planet of the Apes
- Se7en
- Batman Returns line
- ET

I got carried away..

I would buy a headless horseman figure from any producer .....I have flirted with making my own custom but the price would be over 600 for parts alone.

Of course the thread is not just about HT. Any producer could pick up these great suggestions and run with it.

As stated, HT having a license is not really a GOOD thing in most cases.

I have always wanted the Horseman. It is tragic that hot Toys never did it to accompany Ichabod

Die Hard. Two versions of McClane from the first movie should be easy enough. Hans Gruber, heck I'd even buy Sgt Al.

A DX style set with McClane and the snowmobile from DH2 would be pretty cool to.

Matrix
Die Hard
Jaws
Jurassic Park
Mad Max

Every Christmas I hope someone announces McClane on Christmas Eve. How great would it be to get him from each film?

For me it's the Blade Runner films, Burton's Batman films, Batman Forever and Dalton's James Bond films. So many franchises starting with a "B" that mainly consisted of two films, hmmm.

Also, how come no company ever *released* 1/6 Kirk, Spock and McCoy in their iconic 2-6 movie uniforms?

I think the terms of the original post rule out Die Hard since no one bar NECA have ever made Die Hard figures in an official capacity at all for whatever licensing reason.

But yeah, obviously we need Die Hard figures.

This is why I never posted Die Hard when I saw the thread created but, all those posts brought a smile to my face.

Asmus did an amazing job on delivering 3 of the Hateful Eight (much better in hand than pictures suggest). The tailoring, sculpting, and accessories are some of my favorite in my entire collection. It almost causes me physical pain to only have The Hateful 3. All 8 characters would be my favorite thing in my collection.

The Headless Horseman for sure. So many horror figures, but no high end 1/6 Headless? :dunno

Dark Shadows Barnabas Collins (the original, not the Depp abomination)

Supernatural Sam, Dean, and Castiel
