What people are doing is purchasing the IW Cap figure and then modding then suit to make it comport with the EG suit. They cut off the top layer of fabric on the chest to expose the scales underneath (which looks way more accurate than the chest plate HT is going with on the actual EG Cap figure), glue a loose star onto the chest, and then lengthen the sleeves by cutting some extra fabric (not sure from which outfit exactly).

There’s been a lot of photos people have posted of their modded IW-to-EG Cap figures in this thread and the IW Cap thread and a lot of them are really good. Much, much better imo than the actual EG Cap figure HT is offering. It demonstrates imo how much HT missed the ball on this figure, at least from what?s been shown.

Yeah, I was following those pictures (Remys especially) and really like the look. But it sounds like you need a lot of parts - none of which I have.

Hopefully the actual EG figure that arrives will lend itself to simpler modifications to achieve similar results.

The biggest problem is the star. Harvesting that from somewhere is the most difficult task. If someone could 3D print it or cast theirs before attaching it, it would make the process easier.

I loved all the IW conversions of Cap I've seen. Very good work by customizers.

After owning all the Caps (and selling a few)...I feel like they finally got the bulky, superhero look down for the character around the Civil War version. I know the AOU has slightly better proportions but I prefer the CW/IW look.

I actually warmed up to the vinyl-esque Infinity War outfit material. I assume that's what we're getting on the Endgame version. However...I hope Hot Toys will still get rid of the "rubber scale-mail" plate and follow what the customizers have been doing.

Yup. That's my desperate hope. If they get rid of that blocky chest guard, this will be the pinnacle cap figure. Anxiously awaiting final product photos to see how he comes out. If it still remains, I'll unfortunately cancel my order and stick with my IW. Like you the IW look has really grown on me more and more. I'd be happy to keep it as my one and only cap tbh.

Where are you seeing that?

Says on Sideshow, estimated release October-Jan. And they're mostly always the latter part of the estimation. Although, in saying that they've churning out the Marvel releases this past week or so.

Found a body modification on insta of this fig for the special edition they put out awhile back that gave him his much needed traps....and it actually looks pretty good. I've been vocal on my critique of that awkward plastic chest plate but I would consider swallowing that problem if they gave him traps like this. Love the slope

Yup! That looks great! It looks more like the chest plate is actually part of the outfit rather than just stuck on there.

Hot Toys has had extra MONTHS to listen to the feedback on this figure. I hope they address some of these issues.

Sheild still hasn't been fixed yet. This is from the Singapore event. I do hope that's not the final or else that broken sheild is staying in my box forever.
