Yeah what *did* happen to Elfman? His scores back in the day were so distinct and iconic. Now they're anything but.

Yeah he is just bad which is a sad thing. He was one of my favorites back in the day.

Elfman is just

I didn't even hate JL. I mean its not a good film but I enjoy it in that "Watching my Saturday morning cartoon of Super Friends Come to like" kinda way.

Yeah, same here. Giving Whedon his due, I think if he had been allowed to just start over with his own movie (which I know they’d never do because of how far along they already were, shooting Snyder’s version), or if Snyder had been allowed to finish what he started, we might have ended up with a pretty good movie. But the way it was handled, we ended up with the worst of both worlds. There are a lot of parts of the movie that I enjoy, and I was entertained watching it. But judging it as an overall movie, you can tell it was the product of two directors with very different approaches having their ideas just thrown together just for the sake of expediency so Warner Bros. could release something. That’s why I was never convinced that the shared universe concept was the problem. It was the keep cranking out movies quickly just to get them out there approach that I feel was the main problem.

Elfman just sucks anymore.

:lol True.

I agree.. The need to catch up with the MCU was a misfire and an obvious tell that WB did not have confidence in their characters. I thin some of that may have come from MOS not meeting expectations.

But the DCU is a mess and its too bad. They wanted to be Marvel without being Marvel.

Who came blame them? MCU has made billions and is a huge crowd pleasing juggernaut. They just ******** the whole thing up by switching gears in mid-turn and wanted to copy it far too fast.

Well put. But it's history now, and I should be happy I got to see as much of Zack's vision as I did.

Holy crap, that seems pretty obvious that it's happening - unless Zack is blowing smoke and bluffing that his cut is more complete than it really is to raise hype, again.

Considering the ugly color correction used by Whedon, the moustache-gate, the lack of resolution to the Knightmare Sequence set-up, the (mostly) misplaced humor/jokes and the crappy Elfman soundtrack, I find it highly doubtful the Snydercut is more of a mess than the theatrical cut...
However, if you hated BvS or MoS, then there's no point in even watching this, is there?

I think it's good if it really exists and is released. After all as a paying consumer we deserve to see the movie in its supposed original form. If this Snyder cut is the intended vision of the man who started the DCEU movie line then I want to watch it as a resolution to the whole DC debacle. This movie is really for Snyder fans, DC fans and the general movie going consumers. Haters will still hate no matter what so there really isn't a need to take their opinions into consideration.

Hey. Who knows for sure tbh

Well it took almost 30 years for the Donner cut of Superman II so anything is possible. I would watch it since it would be Snyder's vision as intended. The released version is very jarring as to what was added and the late reshoots are obvious with Affleck's parts. I hope it makes it out.

Do we know if it's to be a completed movie? Or will it have unfinished backgrounds and effects, awkwardly edited scenes and so on?

Turd in a pool looks blur due to the underwater distortion effect hence we can't make out the gross details as opposed to turd in a toilet bowl. Turd is not pleasant to look at therefore a blurred out turd in a pool looks better than a turd in a toilet.

Turd from two different persons can't possibly be the same as well due to many factors like one's eating and drinking habits, health, etc. Therefore it is possible for one turd to be better looking than another turd. The shape, color, solidity, etc all contribute to how good looking a turd is.
