Re: Avengers: Endgame - 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark LXXXV (Battle Damaged Version) Coll

the ships fuel cells were damaged in battle. Its not clear how the GOTG ship is damaged. In IW we leave them at knowwhere and pick them up on titan. I think the ship that nebula uses to crash into thanos is different.

Oh maybe it was the nebula ship..I forgot about her ship . Good call . At the end of EG when Thor joined the guardians , where did the ship come from . Was the ship snapped out of existence as well for five years :dunno

Ah ah, not quite. The 5 year gap came after Thor killed Thanos, which happened after Tony and Nebula were rescued. I don’t think it was ever specified how long they drifted in space for, but I just presume it was probably for days, maybe weeks after the events of IW. I pretty much consider the first part of EG up until after Thor kills Thanos as being part of IW.

But I also agree that it makes sense the 85 would probably be the most advanced and powerful IM armor, with Tony now knowing what he knows after the events of IW.

You don’t remember it was specified? 22 days. I’m only surprised because everybody on the internet kept repeating that it was an easter egg, for the number of MCU movies.

You know it’s bizarre how Tony said his issue was he was running out of air..we’ll wasn’t it Star Lord’s ship? Isn’t Quiell human? How could he not have enough air on the ship for himself even though the rest of the crew aren’t humans :dunno

That isn’t bizarre. If that was the case then Tony would have suffocated the second he went into space. There are oxygen reserves, and they were running out.

You can clearly see the ship on Titan while they were coming up with a plan to fight thanos. Probably damaged when he brought the moon down on every body.

Or when Nebula crash landed into Thanos.

She had a different kind of ship though. She had the one of the Sakaarans ships she must have gotten it from Thanos ship when she escaped. He used them in a EndGame too. Nebula did crash a ship before somewhat the same as Quills. Back in Gotg2 when she tries to kill Gamora. Crashing ships into people must be Nebulas signature move lol. That’s when you know you’ve really pissed her off

You’re right, forgot the Guardians brought their ship on Titan, not Nebula.

What? That's the Benatar, the Guardians second ship after the Milano was crashed in Vol. 2, which is used repeatedly throughout Infinity War and Endgame

The Guardians used it to get to Titan in IW

In the interim 5 years we hear that Nebula and Rocket are off helping mopping up various calamities in space (as is Captain Marvel, Okoye, and Rhodey) and we see them return to HQ (blowing away Lang's tacos) after the team is brought back together for the time heist

Hawkeye brings it back on the return time jump, presumably (he weakly promised Rocket he would), and the Guardians are back on their ship at the end

Beautiful. Very linear.

Re: Avengers: Endgame - 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark LXXXV (Battle Damaged Version) Coll

What I gather from what RDJ said is that Tony’s newer suits are more about doing whatever it takes to protect the people around him. This is evidenced in IW where he says the new reactor was made “to protect us, the future us’s, and nothing else.” The 50 and 85 are probably essentially the same suit to RDJ, especially considering the 85 wasn’t even a thing on set, and their functionality is very similar anyways.

The first suit was built to protect him, get him out of the cave and bring him back to his life. He made the last suit able to sacrifice its user’s safety for the sake of “the community.” An older model might have rejected the use of the stones as they put the user in danger. I heard someone ask why he didn’t have the gamma resistance of the Mark 26 in the 85, and I think the answer is that those kind of protections aren’t even on his mind. He’d rather focus on adding 15 new weapon combinations than any more user safety measures.

The evolution of the iron man suit has consistently shifted from protecting Tony Stark to purely protecting others. The mark 6 was made to save his life, then the mark 42 was able to assemble around pepper. The mark 44 was made to protect people (and banner) from the hulk, and the mark 47 was sent to save peter from drowning. The mark 50 actively endangered him by redirecting nanobots from his helmet so that he could continue his fight with thanos, and the 85 actually killed him so he could eliminate the threat of thanos entirely.

Obviously he’s not going nearly this deep into it all, but it’s really cool to hear RDJ even talk about a specific iron man suit. It lets you know they don’t all just blend together to him even after all this time. Very Tony Stark of him.

My web browser has officially registered the search for LXXXV on Sideshow’s website as a top hit. Come onnnnn, preorder!

If they can make me care about any of the core x-men like they made me care about Tony and Steve in these movies, I'll be happy. The sooner I can forget about most of foX-Men movies, the better. Recast 'em all (except deadpool of course)

Also, to stay on topic... It's kinda odd this isn't up for order yet. Sometimes they do wait a while before putting new ones on the site, but these day's that's pretty rare.

I’m so sick of refreshing Sideshow’s site haha. I wonder if they’re just busy at SDCC?
