Didn’t the 85 phase through solid objects

Don't remember it doing that, but it did punch through and tank the containment field around the Tesseract with no issue. Given that it was likely similar to the field around it in Avengers that's no small feat.

I haven’t read nor listened to any interviews, so I don’t know who said what, but I just apply Occam’s razor to the situation: the nano gauntlet was specifically constructed knowing that it would have to harness the power of the Stones in order to do the snap; IM suit wasn’t constructed with the assumption that it would have to harness the power of the Stones at some point in order to perform a snap.

Simple enough of an explanation to me and requires the least amount of hoops to have to jump through in order for it to make sense.

That doesn’t mean the 85 is less advanced or protective than the 50. I’m sure the Stones would have eaten right through the 50 as well.

Never understood why people always took statements like these to heart. It’s simply not canon, you don’t have to worry about the 85 being less strong than the 50 just because RDJ was offering his interpretation. It’s the same thing with the Tom Holland being the kid in IM2. They’re like, “OMG THATS IMPOSSIBLE, they ages wouldn’t work out.” Yeah, they won’t... that’s why it isn’t mentioned at all in any movies. Just because someone said it’s true doesn’t make it canon, something being explicitly stated in the movie does.

Ohh yeah, the 50 would have been torched too.

Exactly. I feel like most of the time when the filmmakers and actors say stuff like that, it’s just to shut the fans up:lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame - 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark LXXXV (Battle Damaged Version) Coll

It was 5 years and add how many days and months Tony was drifting in space with Nebula before the time jump .

I’m almost certain with his crazy PSTD from the battle in 2012 which probably got intensified after his Fight with Thanos in IW . I find it hard to believe Tony didn’t engineer the 85 armor to be the best armor he can make to fight Thanos again

Is it just me - but does this feel like a bit of a fork you to the people who pre-ordered the clean version?

Exactly, They do not go into every single little detail in these movies. They just worry about what you see on screen and that is it.

Don't forget they killed Thanos shortly after he got back so there was no reason to worry about him and the damage was already done.

Ah ah, not quite. The 5 year gap came after Thor killed Thanos, which happened after Tony and Nebula were rescued. I don’t think it was ever specified how long they drifted in space for, but I just presume it was probably for days, maybe weeks after the events of IW. I pretty much consider the first part of EG up until after Thor kills Thanos as being part of IW.

But I also agree that it makes sense the 85 would probably be the most advanced and powerful IM armor, with Tony now knowing what he knows after the events of IW.

Nah typical HT trying to get more money

Re: Avengers: Endgame - 1/6th scale Iron Man Mark LXXXV (Battle Damaged Version) Coll

That’s a great idea. I have a ton pending from my current orders. Once those are fulfilled I’ll have around $300. That’d be a good amount to apply to this. I expect this to be very popular tho regardless of price so don’t want to miss my chance. Unlikely it sells out during PO but just no way to know.

Speaking of points...if I preorder something right now and I have points pending from another preorder, will I eventually be able to apply those realized points to the 2nd preorder?

I'm new to purchasing from SS, so apologies in advance for the novice question.

You know it’s bizarre how Tony said his issue was he was running out of air..we’ll wasn’t it Star Lord’s ship? Isn’t Quiell human? How could he not have enough air on the ship for himself even though the rest of the crew aren’t humans :dunno

I don't remember all the details but Tony did explain the ship was damaged and how long they had been floating in space when he sent the message.

It had to have gotten damaged in the Thanos fight because in IW it looked perfectly fine

I knew it was more than a few days because Tony was skinny when he came back , I think they CG RDJ body to look more frail because Tony looked really strange and he had to wear dark glasses because his eyes must’ve been weak

the ships fuel cells were damaged in battle. Its not clear how the GOTG ship is damaged. In IW we leave them at knowwhere and pick them up on titan. I think the ship that nebula uses to crash into thanos is different.

Well there was a moon getting tossed around so i'm suprised the damage was not worse :lol
