How does this guy [Iron Spider] compare/fit in with lets say Marks 46 & 47? Does he look cheap or plasticish? Does he look like a 12inch doll? When I see Marks 46/47 I see hi end collectibles. Does this figure give off that fibe or just and upscaled toy? Looking to pick this guy up along with CW Cap and Spidey tech suit.

Anyone with those figures can you chime in and give your opinion. Do the other figures other than Iron Man give off that premium look or just a larger dollish look?

I only own Marks 44, 46 and 47 so I'm not sure how the rest of the Hot Toys line holds up. I have watched too many reviews, podcasts, YT videos, etc., just curious on the handlers on this forum.

I think it looks pretty nice with the rest of them so far. I gotta do some re-arranging in advance before Thanos or Mark 50 comes in and get those Pop figures outta there, but I feel like he looks good. I'm not into dioramas or crazy poses, just museum poses mostly for me so I didn't do much other than just put him up on the shelf. It was crazy though moving the 46 over remembering how heavy that thing is compared to Iron Spider.

Also, I'm not sure if its my figure or the angle, etc. But for some reason I can't help but think the light-up head is suffering from a "lazy-eye" look on the left eye. Was looking at it last night and it just seems like the white part of the eye starts lower than the right eye. Wondering if anyone else had something like that going on.

Pretty sure it's the angle with the eye. I thought exactly the same but put your finger on there. It is just the shadow caused by light. It looked so real to me.

Am still loving this guy. Stand out figure of the bunch for me ! Just looks amazing !

Get your metal claws on man !

hahah I'm still not sold on the claws, just really like the sleekness of the suit itself, I feel like the claws jutting out in all directions really break that up. I'd almost just present this figure as the suit at the end of Homecoming just stationary.

Thank you for your thoughts and picture. I know that the DC Iron Men are weighty how does Spidy feel in comparison? A good weight for what it is or? You wouldn't happen to have CW Cap, thoughts on him if you do?

I concur, I don't know how I feel about the extra legs. I don't have the figure (yet) I guess I'll just wait and see.

Sorry, no Cap figures, but yea Iron Spider is a pretty light figure. Most of the figures I've had are either diecast or decently accessorized like Star Lord, etc that there's a weight to them but this is the first Spider-Man figure I've had so I'm not sure if that's par for the course just because of the suit and whatnot.

Thank you for the speedy and honest reply.

So I spent a decent amount of time messing around with mine last night. First off, I'm surprised by how the legs can spread out a good amount without incurring any crease damage. It can click out 1.5 times and achieve a relatively wide stance without creasing/stretching out the material, so that was definitely a good surprise.

The same can't be said for the shoulder unfortunately. I clicked the left arm twice and when I put the arm back down there was a very slight crease indent on the shoulder pad. So for those worried about creases, you can get one click of the arm, but don't go beyond that otherwise you'll suffer from light creasing.

Also, this issue is probably isolated to just me, but is anyone else experiencing the issue where one of the toe joints won't sit flush...like it always tends to creep up a lil bit, while the other toe can articulate freely and lay flat on the ground if I want it to. The also happens to be on the foot that has a bit more bunching near the ankle joint, so not sure if this is affecting those who have that slight bunching that I've seen in some photos.

Here are some quick shots I took last night.

So I pre-ordered mine day one and finally got it today. Sadly though mine had nothing but problems. The magnet was out of the neck and stuck in the head. The black piece that goes on top of the neck to hold the magnet in was broke off. Then the other problem that I saw before I even noticed that the left leg was stitched on crooked so therefore his pants and boots did not sit right. If you look at the picture that I included the toothpicks are sitting on the knees and you can see just how crooked it was stitched. When I first saw this before I even noticed the head I thought I could slide the pants over but the boot and all will not move and it just ends up bunching it up. I got mine from pop culture zone and sadly they’re sold out. The guy there said he’s going to attempt to see if he can get a replacement from hot toys. Otherwise I’ll just be out this figure and have to order it from somewhere else.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues. Are you sure the black piece on top of the magnet is broken? HT's glue is really weak - I had to reglue that piece to the top of the magnet as well as the metal piece on the battery cover of the light-up head. A couple of drops of superglue and good as new. Note that there's a tiny nib on the rim of that black piece that need to be aligned just right in order for it to be seated properly above the magnet.

As for boots being sewn off-center I don't know what to tell you. My figure has a bit of that going on as well on the left leg, and looking at some other pics that have been posted (such as gmoney's and crazygmpoker's above) it seems to be quite common. This may be something we'll have to live with, similar to the wonky knee pads on Captain America figures.

I also got mine from PCZ. I'd given it a cursory look & was going to wait until next week to mess around with him, but after reading your post I thought it best to give him a more thorough inspection. Other than that slight alignment issue with the left leg of the suit, everything looks good. Here's a couple of quick phone pics. I'm keeping him in a rather boring, benign pose for now.

Hey Buffinator -- did you notice if both your toe joints are fine? Like can they both articulate on their own or does one toe refuse to stay flush to the ground and end up creeping up?

Nice shots! For some reason the black lines on the Iron Spidey suit seem to pop more with your photos.
Now that you mention it, mine does look like the web patterns are darker than other's pictures! I think mine might have had a heavier than usual black wash applied? It looks the same in person as well.

I just checked them. They both seem OK - no creeping so far. Do you think maybe one of yours was in the "up" position when it was sewn together?

The left foot was wrapped so that the toe was pointed up the whole time. When I removed the wrap I noticed I could no longer really get the toe articulation to cooperate. No matter how many times I made it point down it would slowly creep up...so I suspect being packaged with it pointed up kinda forced it to stay that way. Not a huge deal breaker, but wondering if I should bother for a replacement...dunno if it's worth the hassle... :dunno

Yeah looking at some of the pictures here it seems like it’s misaligned too. Yeah I did have a little black tip to it. I guess I wish I would’ve just glued it back together then. I assumed that it was probably broke and I should get one that I didn’t need to do that too. This stinks if they’re all going to be misaligned like that on the legs now I’m just out of a figure for no reason. Spider-man is my favorite character and I was really looking forward to this figure. Well hopefully they can get me a replacement from hot toys and everything will be good. Otherwise I guess I can possibly try and get them one from sideshow toys if they still have them in stock

That other freak mentioned it was out of stock at PCZ, so I guess it depends how much it bugs you. Maybe point it down & place something heavy on it for a while & see if the material will stretch just enough to correct the problem? Of course if it works you may get a bit more material bunching at the ankle, so there could be a trade off.

Did you already send it back to PCZ?
