Poppies 2014 - the nomination process is underway!

The Poppies Nominations process is currently underway with the 159 2014 judges. To see the list of judges, check here:

The Poppies - the annual pop culture collectibles (action figures, statues, busts and more) industry awards!

Check out the list - you'll see people you know from Hot Toys, Sideshow, Mattel, Hasbro, McFarlane, Gentle Giant, Play Imaginative, and many more companies as well as artists, retailers, and a very big helping of the top online toy sites and reviewers.

They are discussing what figures should be on the ballot this year in the following 19 categories:

Best Overall Company
Best Overall Line: High End
Best Overall Line: Low End
Eddie Wires Award for Outstanding Paint
Best Male Figure 18" and Up
Best Male Figure 12 - 17"
Best Male Figure 5 - 11"
Best Male Figure Under 5"
Best Female Figure over 11"
Best Female Figure 5 - 11"
Best Female Figure under 5"
Best Build A Figure
Best Vehicle or Playset
Best Statue
Best Bust
Best Designer/Vinyl
Best Prop Replica
Best Block Figure
Best Misc

The ballot they develop will be the same ballot used for the People's Pick awards, so if there's something you really, really, really, feel needs to be on the ballot, make sure you communicate that to one of the judges. You can also email me at [email protected], or post to this thread.

We'll be wrapping up the nomination process the first week of January, with voting soon after.

dont forget to put damtoys GK line

Yep, the GK line is in for Best Overall Line High End, and on of the figures is in the Best 12 - 17" category. This is the first year in quite some time that I think Hot TOys actually has some real competition in that category, and even more serious competition in a couple other categories (like Best Female 11" and Up) that they'd normally dominate.
