Spoiler:
Overall I'd much rather have Disney take over everything.
Those put Marvel on the map yes, but that was also during a time when Marvel wasn't making their own films (because they weren't really in a position to). Not to discredit those films but personally in one film appearance where he wasn't even the man character I think Marvel Studios already gave us the best Spidey ever.Done "okay" and "alright", is putting it lightly.
The first couple X-Men and Spider-Man movies put Marvel on film on the map.
I don't think Marvel Studios won't ever have a dud but personally I feel like they really haven't had a film that's been truly bad. There are some I don't like as much such as Iron Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World but as far as a film I hate and would never watch again they haven't gotten even close. Really it's pretty impressive how consistent they've managed to be over eight years.I love Iron Man 1, Avengers, Captain America, Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and Civil War, but I don't think they're highly superior to X1, X2, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, First Class, Days of Future Past or Deadpool. This whole "it's gotta go back 'home'", is BS just because a couple of franchises from other companies are having duds. Every studio has their hits and misses. What happens if Doctor Strange or the other upcoming solo movies bomb? Where should they be moved to?
Spider-Man 3 was crap at the time and continues to be crap now. The Webb films aren't great either aside from the fact that I enjoy the Peter/Gwen relationship. I wouldn't put them close to on par or better with any of the films you mentioned but that's just my opinion.Hell, I'd put Spider-Man 3 and Amazing Spider-Man (and I hate the Webb Spider-Man movies) on par or above the likes of Hulk, Thor, the Iron Man sequels and Ant-Man.

The X-Men films are good for the most part and that group can really work on its own. Still though I wouldn't mind seeing them mixed in with the main MCU so we could see interactions like Wolvie/Hulk and whatnot. Also I'm not sure how Marvel would have handled Deadpool. They've shown that they can go darker with their Netflix shows so maybe that's where he would fit in.

Also full disclosure I'm not even a huge Marvel fanboy but really love the MCU films. I think in terms of building a universe off all their franchises they've done a brilliant job. That's why it's so frustrating being a DC fan and seeing how crappy they're handling their films.
It would be quite typical if whatever complications over the X-men license were solved and Hot Toys started making figures for Apocalypse, which is easily below First Class and DOFP in quality. Just like how Hot Toys made figures from Spiderman 3 instead of the far superior Spiderman 1 and 2.
The first couple Raimi Spider-Man films are decent but like I said I think that Marvel Studios blew them out of the water with their one attempt with the character not even in a leading role.
I simply liked it better. It's an opinion and you're still welcome to have yours. It's nothing to do with being more current or better CG. I just feel like the essence of the character was better captured. He was delivering clever lines the entire time he was Spidey and wouldn't shut up which is in tune with the character. As Peter he was good as well and seemed like a clever high school kid that was taking on these newfound powers and dealing with a guy Tony Stark at his home. Maguire and Garfield both felt too old for the character to me.How do you figure that? Because he made a couple of funnies and a Star Wars reference. Because his video game looking CGI graphics were more current?
I think it's insulting to the filmmakers, directors, writers, Maguire, and Garfield to claim that a 20 minute, glorified cameo is better than their entire combined efforts out of the span of 5, 2 hour feature length films. Think about that opinion and view point for a second, it's messed up.
Take the Raimi Spider-Man/Peter Parker's best moments and compile a 20 min montage of those scenes (action, drama, whatever) and I guarantee it would outshine "dude, Empire Strikes Back, Tony Stark gave me a flash light" Spidey and have fanboys seal clapping if they had never seen those scenes before. Just because they're over a decade old doesn't mean they're obsolete or inferior. Hell, I hate the Andrew Garfield movies but I don't think he was a problem, just the direction they took him. Wasn't it just a couple of years ago where people were proclaiming Garflied as the best, hip, new quippin' Spider-Man? Hopefully this Holland kid has a good contract or before he knows it, his interpretation will be deemed inferior old news.
Yeah nothing will ever ever top Spider-Man 2. It has everything. The train fight alone is pure adrenaline.
How is that even close to a spoiler? An opinion is entirely subjective and there's nothing in his post that spoils anything.
Indeed. 'An opinion spoiler' is a new one on me I have to say. I wasn't aware of any embargo on it.
I hate accidentally read what someone thinks about a movie that's not even out yet.
Are you for real? If you're that sensitive that someone saying they liked or disliked something comparatively to another film then maybe you shouldn't be on the Internet at all. There weren't any plot points or anything of importance given away in the post you quoted. You were fortunate enough to see the movie already, at least keep your opinion to yourself until at least the film officially comes out. I hate accidentally reading what someone thinks about a movie that's not even out yet. Its one thing if I was seeking that out on metacritic.
