Why must people insult others on their political views?

I'll tell you why I get insulting, because if I have an opinion that doesn't coincide with the leftist media, or apparently a mod, my comments are deemed inappropriate and get deleted. In none of my comments did I insult anyone, up to this point.

Whenever you get a topic that people are passionate about it will get heated. All it takes is a generalization or dismissive comment and people feel insulted and the natural reaction is to insult back.
This is going to be a very close election and it has tempers running high, but after November it will be back to Medi vs SSC again.
