If I were to guess, I'd say Rocky 4's votes don't come from the overall film, but probably because it had one of, if not the best, fights in the entire series, as far as the actual punches and all, nothing beats the Apollo-Rocky dynamic, but Rocky vs. Drago was a great fight to watch.

yes. the story is kinda meh. i just love how intense the fight is. i know what is gonna happen but everytime i watch im at the edge of my seat. plus it has that awesome training montage out in the wilderness. it's a very different idea and i gotta give stallone props for writing it that way.:rock

You gotta love some of the humor in that fight too.

Rocko, remember that stuff about wantin' to be you, I take it back.

Hit the one in the middle.

I'm just shocked that RB got only 4 votes? Thats my second favorite, hell its one of the best films i've seen in a while, well thats coming from a HUGE Rocky/Rambo fan!

As for IV, it NEVER gets old, never gets boring, it always gets you pumped! 90 min training video, but awesome nonetheless.

Same here... that movie rocks... even if the story is a bit flawed. Best fight of the series for sure, and best villain.

Still, Rocky 1 is the best to me... with Rocky Balboa second, then Rocky II, III, IV and finally V.

RB is a close second though, really a phenomenal film. I see them as two halves of a single whole... not separate.

I said Rocky Balboa because I love that movie. I love them all but I just like that one the most. I also think the latest Rambo was the best Rambo movie. I think Stallone is making the best movies in these franchises are the latest installments. And Rocky 2 is my second favorite.

I've noticed that Rocky during thanksgiving and Xmas is on ALL the time. Has rocky turned into a holiday movie? (not that i mind) I love watching them but just something i noticed.

I feel the same way

The Rocky saga has REALLY inspired alot of people, so maybe its the time of year when people need the most uplifting motivation? Just a guess. Also they're just good old fashion fun to watch.

Plus with 6 of them, you can take up a 12 hour day worth of TV. It's a perfect series for marthon's, long enough to fill the day but short enough not to have to ommit any entry.

Rocky 5 wasn't all bad now was it?

No, the Mickey moments were great. I admit, I tear up a bit watching this scene.

Nah i dont think it was all that bad either,it was different but yeah it was a kinda desperate try to keep Rocky alive, thats all.Rocky took care of Tommy the same way Mickey did with Rocky, and think that was what this movie was all about.
