Check out the PERS

:lecture:lecture:lecture same 'cept here it was called G.I. Joe.

The Kenner Chewbacca from the 70's. Lost his bandolier in less than a week, I used to carry it around with me everywhere. I guess that really dates me.

You all have nothing on me. My very first 12" action figure was GI Joe with Kung Fu Grip...the original one.

Probably this:

I was a kid of the 80s, so the era of the popular 12 inch boys' toys had passed.

I guess Skyfire/Jetfire and Superion (Transformers) were roughly 12 inches tall, and I got those before Duke, but I don't guess they count.

We had lots of 12" figures when I was little: GI Joe, including Mike Power, Steve Austin, Captain Action etc.

When my son was born in 1999 my wife and I had him in his stroller in KB and I saw TPM Obi Wan on clearance and I said I was getting it for him.
She said "You don't even know if he'll like Star Wars."
"Oh he'll like Star Wars" I replied.

Well the first figure I bought and was truly only collecting 12" moving forward was the DX01.

However, after reading most of the peoples posts here I have to agree that my FIRST 12" figure was from the POTF Star Wars line in 95'ish. They weren't really called POTF but came out at the same time that the POTF 3 3/4" line was out.

My first 12" fig was Firefly courtesy of my g/f. My first 12" SW figure was a set of 3 actually (Jedi Like, Darth Maul, and SDCC Anakin - Sith).

This.

I loved this as a kid, I had a few others but Cobra Commander was my favorite. The original was lost/broken/donated so I had to re-buy one, came across it on ebay for about $14.

I am proud to say it was a Lili Ledy Kenner Darth Vader from back in the day. After him followed R2 and 3PO. I was around 9-10 years old. Since then, I've been a fan of the Dark Father.:rock

If the Hasbro 12" line counts. My first was the Han and Luke in Stormtrooper disguise set.

The 1977/78 12" Luke Skywalker..gave it to my son the other week, lost the original clothes years ago though..

I had a Six Million Dollar Man when I was a kid, as well as the Oscar Goldman with exploding briefcase and Maskatron.

I also had the Bionic Mission Vehicle, Bionic Transport/Repair table, Mission Control Center (mine didn't have a f'ing Dome), Critical Assignment Arms, Bionic Adventure Space Suit. CB Headset and Radio receiver

This, however, was the lamest toy I ever owned. Ever.
