Mine was Vader. I bought him off of ebay since I discovered SSC long after he was sold out there. I left him in the box for a long time before the addiction began. 25 figures later and I am hooked.

One of the freaks here helped me out with the light saber photoshop and I kept his other saber on him just so I wouldn't lose it.

Action Man

I had a lot of this stuff from the commercial
<object width="660" height="525"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/UZCnRtMXYTA?fs=1&hl=en_GB&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999&hd=1&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/UZCnRtMXYTA?fs=1&hl=en_GB&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999&hd=1&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="660" height="525"></embed></object>
Check out the PERS

The Kenner Chewbacca from the 70's. Lost his bandolier in less than a week, I used to carry it around with me everywhere. I guess that really dates me.

Dark Knight Batman...yeah just a little too late but you gotta start somewhere..

Yeah I had both of those and some of the Planet of the Apes
I think they were all sold under the Palitoy brand over here the same as Action Man. I was watching the Video I posted and it showed an Evil Knievel which I also had. My Mum and Dad were not that well off, but my Grandma used to spoil me rotten

DX01 Joker!

Just started last December myself. Currently I'm up to 15 with 4 more on preorder (T-1000, IM WM, IM MK IV, Ghost Rider)....almost going to have 20 in one year!

Wait...that would mean the Iron Man and War Machine figures would actually have to make it out in this year....:impatient:

Oww mine was probably and action man but the one I remember was Steve Austin.
Chuffin loved it so much. Would love to have one now :)

Just goes to show nothing is new anymore. Palitoy was doing the "eagle eyes" way before PERS.

Amazing...:lol

Mine was 12" Boba Fett from Hasbro. My first modern 1:6 scale was a BBI SAS figure. The rest is history.

If it was Mego those were technically 8" weren't they?

Mego did make some 12" figures too, but I don't think Hulk was one of them. Superman and Spidey for certain.

I think for me, it was a G.I.Joe back in the early 70's. First Star Wars was Kenner's Large Size Luke Skywalker.

Ahh so many great toys, we were lucky kids

The funny thing is, what got me back into collecting 12" figures was an urequited desire for the Boba Fett Doll back in 1980, I wanted it so bad, but my Parents were never able to find it.

Flash forward 17 years or so to me finding a Boba Fett 12" (new version) at the toy store. I snatched up two of em and found that I just couldn't stop. Something about the toys from that movie are like crack to me.

Kenner Darth Vader. Still have him, with the original cape and half of the original lightsaber. I got a repro and now he's as complete as he will probably ever get. I really wish I had the box.
