Agreed!

Re-Animator- still super freaky after all this time.

Yeah, it's been awhile since I've seen Re-Animator. I need to give it a watch again.

Original and remake are both amazing.

Whatever you do though..NEVER watch Night of the living dead 3d

Sid Haig + Night of the living dead seems like something that would be amazing doesn't it?
no
NO

Thanks for the heads up.:lol

We just finished Idle Hands. Pretty good horror comedy.

I like bad horror movies from the 80's. Those are the best of the worst lol.

just finished rewatching american werewolf in london

CANT WAIT FOR PCS TOMORROW WOOOOO

Pcs is doing 1/6 figures so it's better than hot toys :)

Going to watch Borat tonight. Yes it's not horror but it's one of my favorites!

I just finished Return of the Living Dead for the first time. I was surprised by how much I liked it given how dirt cheap the blu ray was. Being a fan of all things 80's horror it was right up my alley. I would recommend it for sure.

First Time !?:horror

"Watch your tongue boy, if you like this job!"

Man, that movie brings back memories. I remember when I was maybe 13, back when video stores would rent out anything to a kid. My buddy and I would rent all the classics - TCM, F13th, Halloween etc... as well as some that were more off the beaten path like: Motel Hell, Demons, Madman, Night of the Creeps...Nothing was better than the Horror section at the video store.

Damn, 42 feels very old right now.:lol

You've got a decade on me lol...but me and my buddy used to do exactly the same thing at our local VHS rental place. It was 5 for $5 and they typically only had sequels and B horror movies i.e. The Video Dead, C.H.U.D., People Under the Stairs, Leprechaun ect. I'm so glad I got to experience rentals growing up, something my daughter will never know. :(

Be kind, rewind. :lol

I sometimes catch myself telling my Son who's 9, the old "back when I was a kid" stories and what he's missing. I think he's got me beat though - Lucky little guy has already played two hockey games at the United Center before Blackhawks games - including the 2014 Season opener/Banner Raising. I don't think I have anything from when I was a kid to top that.:lol

Wow that's pretty amazing, good for him! :)

Funny how you are talking about those video stores and I remember very well how much I enjoyed visiting the store, the excitement you get walking in and the smell of the videos in the air. I remember Poppinga video store, it was a few blocks away from my house and I used to walk over to rent movies on the weekends when I was in my teens. There was Video Mania store...downtown...it was the oldest of all the video stores...the grandfather of them all in my town...that is where I used to find all of the treasures of the old classic movies and so many B movies and then some more. They had the BEST collection of horror films. It was amazing! It was like a maze in the store cause it was so big and a bit dark in there. Not enough lights to go around from what I remember and in the back...way back of the store there was stairs that leads to a smaller room for XXX rated movies. :lol Of course I was too young at the time and never had a chance to go up there as it closed down by the time I turned 18 years old. Hollywood video stores...BlockBuster...its really too bad for the new generation of kids like you said not being able to experience the wonderful feeling of walking in the store and hurriedly walking directly to a certain movie you want to rent before its OUT! :lol

Thanks for bringing it up just so I could remember the old days all over again. What a nostalgic feeling that was. Damn Im pushing 40 in a few years...

The ol' video store back room.:lol I remember the video store we went to had a set of swinging doors leading to the promised land.:yess:

The video store(Video Pursuit!) my family used when I was a kid probably did the worst job of hiding their XXX room.
It was just ground level and lit up with pink lights.
Probably only about four strings of pink beads separating it from the rest of the store and hiding it from the innocent eyes of children.

.....I'd walk by it multiple times while there.

One time my friend and I managed to sneak one of the VHS covers and we made black and white copies of of it on the store photocopier.:yess:

It was almost ritualistic turning 18 and finally being able to go in the porn room at the video rental store. What a gross and great experience. :lol

I watched fright night for the first time.

First thought it was stupid until the night club scene. Pure gold.
