I'm glad Mudshark mentioned

Cross of Iron

An amazing war movie by Peckinpah that for some reason few have heard of let alone seen, maybe because they don't show it on TBS or AMC all the time. It's among the best war movies ever but never gets its due.

Also never getting its due which I'm pleased ian1138 mentioned is The Big Red One by Sam Fuller, an amazing man and fantastic director who actually knew what war was.

WOW...
Only one person said The Dirty Dozen?
That movie was awesome.
My dads favorite movie, and since he loved it so much my twin brother enjoys it too.
