I was posting this in the Asajj Ventress thread over in the Star Wars forum then I remember there's a whole forum just for customs and seeing as how this got a bit away from being a simple body swap maybe it deserved it's own thread? Maybe?

Started out, like I said as a simple body swap. Just put the Sideshow figure on a Hot Toys TT body.

I then shrunk the extra exclusive head since I was never a fan of Asajj with irises or the tattoos.

Did a body wrap over a black Triad Hero bodysuit, weathered the wrapping (made with white tactical webbing from GSTG) with some watered down gray paint. Made a skirt from two types of ribbon. A black grosgrain and a black velvet.

Made my first attempt at a belt for the skirt...

I didn't really like it and went back to the drawing board, literally and came up with this:

Which I then implemented thusly (the belt buckle is the lid from a WWII gasmask can)

And finally the finished product with the head painted finally (the previous images where all photoshop fakery), a new mantle, and a new set of bracers.

Nice custom. Any comparison shots of your new head-sculpt to the original?

Oh yeah. Nice pics too!

Thanks.

Wingster: the second pic from the top is such a comparison, albeit without paint on the shrunken head.

WOw!! Absolutely fabulous! Bravo!!

This is the type of artwork that gets me inspired!!

That is awesome work. I would say it totally blows away the Bergholtz/Atom Hughes custom. Nice work. :clap

I usually don't find the character appealing, but I can't help but like your version! Excellent work.

Again thanks all for the kind words.

Reinhardt: I used this guy's tutorial shrink the head. Basically just leave it in a 100% acetone bath for an hour and then wait a week. It really does take a full week for it to shrink.
