Glad to see painting the jacket could actually improve the look. The more I sit with the PF the more bothered I am by some of the issues.

Guess that'll be an upcoming project.

Someone used Rit Dye on the DiD leather trencoat for Toht, I wonder if it would work on the jacket to dye it more brown?

I used paint on the Connor McCleod 1/6 jacket and turned it from a baby poo brown to a nice dark brown color. Was easy to do... and looked like actual leather afterwards.

My favorite jacket, which I've had for about 20 years, looks EXACTLY like the jacket worn by Harrison in ROTLA. I don't wear it anymore but maybe I could have someone use material from it to make something more movie-accurate? Hmmmmmm

And some photos after finished.

The subtlety in the eyebrows is the real secret to this piece and the difference between "really good" and "WOW!". So many people plaster them on as if they were a solid piece of plastic and it looks just like a solid piece of plastic. Yours are perfection. The 5 o'clock shadow also looks great compared to many other repaint apps, although it does need to be darker in the teardrop part of his lip under his nose. Ford seems to grow it pretty thick there and definitely did for Raiders.

Overall this is in my top 3 for Indy PF re-paints.

Here are a few pics of my repaint with Mfisher holster and a few modifications by me.

One piece of advice, if you guys havn't done it yet, take the belt off, slide the whip keeper off. Peel off the keeper snapbutton, turn the keeper around and reglue the button to the new front. That way you can have it hanging open, like it's supposed to, since the whip is in his hand. To me it seems like the factory in China messed up and put the keeper on backwards.

im very tempted now to repaint the jacket. has anyone got any advise on the best way to do this in terms of being able to take the jacket off? i dont want to snap off the arm so i guess painting it while still on the figure is the best option but dont want to get paint on the rest of him!

i took the bull by the horns today and repainted my indy jacket, hat and bagstrap. im soo happy the results. its improved my figure dramatically in my opinion. this pic doesnt really do it justice but i thought id post it anyway.
