Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I'm in for any and all Kill Bill figures they release. Would also buy Jules, Vincent, and Mia figures.

As long as they're done well, of course!

Cant believe no one has said a gimp.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Star ace has my confidence in a way asmus, threezero and the other under par companies do not so I am excited about this news very much.

I find Jackie brown a weird choice though. It doesn't seem a figure worthy film. I would have loved to see the hateful eight lisence go to them instead of asmus

Going to be watching star ace closely this could be big for them!

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

Brilliant ill buy any character they make pity no Reservoir Dogs too

way too many characters to make for Reservoir Dogs.

but then again even more characters to make for Die Hard.

I hope they make the 2 white guys in Pulp Fiction. Hope the black dude comes with a gag & 2 headsculpts.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I'm tending to agree with that. The GoT have been so-so at best, and production has been at a slow trickle. I haven't bought any of TWD because the sculpts have not been top notch and I don't have faith in the line. I do have TNMT coming and reports are they are fantastic.

However not sure if Star Ace is where they should go, given the multitude of licenses that company is now juggling.

Not that DeNiro wasn't perfectly fine as Louis in Jackie Brown ... "What happened to you? You used to be beautiful", but there are probably 10 DeNiro roles I'd rather have a high quality figure from ... Goodfellas (by a country mile), The Godfather, Casino, Cape Fear, The Untouchables, Raging Bull, The Deer Hunter just off the top of my head.

ThreeZero is from ThreeA, they have their resources all scattered and they not just make TV shows but also tons of games.

Star Ace is 1 company focusing on few movies, it's manageable but expect 1 figure every 3-6 months. maybe 2 from each movie in 1 year.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

There's a lot of landmines in these licenses, likeness rights wise. Diamond Select still haven't put their Pulp select figures up, they've been in approval limbo for three years.

The perfect accessory set is on the way...

I thought the Die Hard comment was nailed on for most idiotic of the day until the cast list of Pulp Fiction was dumbed down to 2 white guys and a black dude. It's too much trouble to use the actors name or the name of the character they're playing? Not like they're a cast of unknowns or character's that haven't entered the pop culture consciousness.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I'm hoping for the white girl from kill bill. and the black girl and the Asian girl and the other Asian girl. And the other white girl.

And the white guy.

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

I want almost all of the cast. I'd get Koons for a figure of Christopher Walken, the Wolf for Harvey Keitel, also Pumpkin for Tim Roth!

Re: Star Ace Toys: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & Kill Bill

You're not doing it right. It's army white guy, older white guy, and younger white Brit guy.

i hope if they ever do reservoir dogs they only do Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, and Mr. White
