And this is why mixed media in this instance is a drawback. Some characters do great with mixed media, but in the case of someone wearing a bodysuit with not much other detail, the fabric ends up OBSCURING detail. Had the figure been completely sculpted, we would probably not be having this discussion - because all of the beautiful detail possible with a solid sculpt would be out there for all to see.

That's probably exactly what happened: they put that cloth on her, then it was all "Man, she lacks detail! We gotta do something!" and hence the current contretemps.

I'm actually surprised at how well the cloth costume looks on Harley. They have definitely improved since pajama Wolverine.

So when you were talking about this statue, using Jenna Jameson as an example and decrying this as yet another example of the pornification of everything in western society, you were not calling it porn. Got it.

Maybe one day they will explore Burka wearing Harley and that will be more in your wheelhouse.

I honestly don't understand why the last 20 pages of conversation exist. She it went up maybe, but how is this still a point of contention for people that passed on it. It looks like what was advertised. Surprise I guess.

Many of the people commenting on it, myself included, did not pass on it, actually like the statue for the most part, and are sharing their critique/opinions. Those opinions are generally quite positive except for that one thing, yet somehow people want to jump all over them over it and act as if they are totally trashing a statue they actually like. I guess that's the internet for you

Oh my, yes. I would have NEVER POd the Bats, Supes, Harley, Catwoman, or modern Thor PFs back in the day. I still cringe when I see most of the cloth used on many of the old PFs. I don't know what material SSC is using on their cloth costumes of late but they look GREAT. I'm buying many more mixed media statues just because of this.

Totally agree with this. I HATED PJ wolverine. But bats, supes, this all look great to me. I even started liking the cloth when i got my IM2 BW PF.

Never liked Thor but the Cap PF is nice. I still think Cap looks way better fully sculpted. When I see those custom Cap PFs that computerfly converted into fully sculpted pieces, I drool...a lot.
