Yes the piping this is like the Simpson episode for Malibu Tracy doll vertically same but now came with a hat. They think like that by adding pipping and bat symbol from 30's.

I think there going based on the pre 1954 batman silver age. Pictured in the middle. Neal Adams on the left. And GA 30's batman.

Ditch the lines and change the belt and you can pretty much say it a version from that Detective comic. :dunno

But no sideshow gonna sideshow.

It's too bad we won't get Neal Adams version that's licensed unless it's the dcd batman. Or statues.

Sideshow knows what people want unless the CEO is 80 and think people automatically think of the late 40's-early 50's. When most buyers are in there 40's and younger. And batman kept this blue costume and oval symbol from mid 50's until frank Miller comic came out.

Even dc knew if the design isn't broke don't fix.

This figure needs a different blue, gray fabric is fine shade. Belt is way off from any vintage comic.

I know why sideshow is doing this. They want quick cash, have the molds. And only need to laser print the symbol on. Plus the piping is used to get the more easily manipulated of us to buy.

Plus it's been proven that the customers will buy anything it's an example of Edward Bernays manipulation to get people to buy anything. That's why hot toys does iron man and will do for all eternity.

I think I figured out where they think that is classic. Only one I could find supporting that belt.

The oval I'm wrong on it started in 1964 when dc did the revamp on him.

This was the start of what most people think of as classic batman. And basis of the tv show design because the guy who put show together got this comic. This was the 1st ep.

Anyone born in 60's-1990's remember the comic classic batman.

Only older gens age mid 40's and older think of GA and early SA batman
Like this design.

That's the figure, the belt and the piping are really throwing me. The piping is very Batman, Incorporated

latest

The belt is very modern Batman utility belt

Other than the logo, nothing really screams classic to me.

Hopefully there are more on display there other than Lobo and this "new" Bats.

Here's another shot of the figure. He looks a lot leaner than their earlier attempts:
