Necroposting!

My friend at the office brought in his (it was an early Christmas present) and it's really impressive! The lights and sounds are really good, especially since he moves his head as well. But when he pops his third leg out to start moving--it's like straight out of the movie! He also wiggles around when he's on 2 legs while he's chirping and his lights are on.

Really nice full-on toy to play with!

It's totally worth getting. I wish Sphero would come out with a larger version, I'd gladly shell out more $$$ for it.

I know this is an old thread but I just picked one up CHEAP and I’m looking to weather mine when it arrives. I loved looking at the pics other have done to weather the body but what did you use on the Dome?

Thanks in advance.

I always recommend using Cartoon Colour Cel-vinyl paint.

It's not acrylic but a special polymer designed for creating cartoon cel panels, as such, it has MUCH more pigment and bonds to plastic like nothing else.

Right: Hasbro

I just purchased this old 2004 Artfx 1/7 scale c-3p0 from kotobukiya and it's the wrong size! no articulation. guys please! can I get a definitive answer as to what manufacturer brand C-3P0 accurately fits with my Sphero R2D2? 1/6th scale seems too big.
oh and yes those are old Disney Elite premium 11 inch characters with them they fit accurately, but sadly they never produced a c-3p0.

Used some Tamaya weathering kit. Might want to make it a little darker but so far I’m liking the direction it’s going. Looks a lot better then the bright white.

Used a combo of mud, sand, rust, and oil palettes.

Looks cool Jase25! I also weathered my Sphero R2....mostly with Testors model paints thinned down to ink consistency.
