Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

I hope the rumors of Penelope getting the role turn out to be true. I think she'd be fantastic as a bond girl!

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

So back to Quantum for this one sound about right? Sort of how Connery Bond fought Spectre the first 2, took a break in Goldfinger, and then went back to finish off Spectre in 4 and 5.

Just stay away from sleeper or double agents or w/e. Every movie so far has had the bad guy infiltrating or having had been affiliated with the highest levels of MI6 at some point, Tanner for Qauntum, that section chief in Casino, and Silva. It's a bit stale. Also Bond's loyalty needs to stop being questioned every single movie.

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

I want some gadget scene too. Hopefully done with good taste I might add

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

A little bit of that is perfectly fine. As long as they don't go overboard.

I'm thinking of the main villain, the henchmen can be plain nasty :)

If Fleming was still alive and writing Bond novels i could see him creating a villain like Raoul Silva. The essence of Bond is this gritty, dirty killer dealing with over the top plots against HM Goverment and her allies, its pure escapism at its best.

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

Have Bond join the Avengers. He'll sleep with Black Widow

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

Bond 24....

Jack Bauer kicking 007's nuts in the opening credits. that would be a great movie.

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

I just remember the horrible cgi in that scene.

I liked Skyfall a LOT, and Bardem's performance was very inspired, but the movie had awful CGI, when the helicopters flew over Silva's little island, I couldn't believe that was the final product :lol

Danjaq, MGM reach agreement with McClory estate
Posted on November 15, 2013 by Bill Koenig

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Danjaq LLC, the Broccoli family company that controls 007 copyrights ,said they’ve acquired all of the James Bond rights held by the Kevin McClory family and estate.

Text of a statement:
Los Angeles, CA (November 15, 2013) – Danjaq, LLC, the producer of the James
Bond films, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), the longtime distributor of the Bond
films, along with the estate and family of the late Kevin McClory, announced
today that Danjaq and MGM have acquired all of the estate’s and family’s rights
and interests relating to James Bond, thus bringing to an amicable conclusion
the legal and business disputes that have arisen periodically for over 50
years.

That would seem to pave the way for the return of Ernst Stavro Blofeld to the Bond series if Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson want to pursue it. Blofeld was introduced in the Ian Fleming novel Thunderball, based on scripts commissioned by McClory during an ill-fated movie project in the 1950s.
McClory dut a deal with Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman for a co-production of Thunderball. McClory in the 1970s began efforts to launch his own 007 movies.

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

I'd like to see a new Blofeld. Always wanted too, actually. This is good news.

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

Don't know if people knew about this, but Bond 24 is set to begin filming in October 2014, and has an October 2015 release date (November 2015 for the US).

I know Daniel Craig is signed on to do two more films, but I personally hope this is his last one. I think he is the best Bond, but he will be 47 in Bond 24, and Bond 25 will likely be 3 years after that.

Re: Bond 24 - Title TBD

A guy last year started a thread about being old for his 26th birthday so yeah I'd say people here consider 47 to be old.
