Re: New Terminator 2 T800 Statue?

I've been trying to compare these head sculpts side by side for a while now.

If anyone has better apples to apples comparison pics, please post them in this thread.

The texture and paint look better on the EB, but to me the PF face sculpt looks more accurate.

Both are incredible in their own right, both look fantastic!! :hi5:

I have large pores, but not even my skin pores look like the ones on the SS version. The EB Production sculpt already looks much more realistic than the SS Prototype piece. Just imagine the comparisons between the production SS piece when it's done.

both look great just depends if you collect statues or dolls

I collect statues and the 2-3 dolls I once had all been sold :lol

but sometimes a remarkable doll like the EB BD T800 come along..and we make an exception..and that remains my only doll :lol....it won't be going anywhere in a hurry :horror

I prefer statues, but I'm not even tempted to buy this statue. It will prolly be $450-500 too.

definite buy for me:hi5:

They both look great. I'm a PF guy so I can't wait for this fig to go up for PO. I'm guessing he'll come in at $400. While the sculpt is quite detailed the base is quite generic.

How dolls look is up to you who displayed them. That means EB ones can be fantastic if you posted them correctly. Note that the definition of "correctly" is somewhat personal preference. If the post is bad then it's bad, if it's awesome then it is.
I collected both and even I preferred statues, EB really got their edge here for me.

EDIT: Saw full pic. Put this one on "maybe" lists. dundundun

Bottom one looks more realistic like a person with skin.

Yeah Trevor is still the king when it comes sculpting Arnold.

Someone on here told me that the 1/4 figures poses never look natural and I tend to agree with them as I have never seen one that looked natural. Do u have any photos that would make this statement false?

Then again, I can't say that this pose looks natural either. :thud:

Yea sideshow Arnie sculpts are still the best. I'm looking at my first T2 PF right now from far away and it looks like a shrunken Arnold until I get up close and see the mediocre paint job they did for that piece. May need to send this one in to a custom painter. But the shipping would kill me since you can't just remove the head...can you?
