It's on the Sideshow item pages for the three variations of the Snowtroopers (ESB, BF and two pack).

Yea I was trying to find that out for the commander. Doesn't seem like it is a HT at the moment.

Strange, and it'll be interesting to find out what's what. No huge surprise if it's Sideshow's design - even the HT Snowtrooper looks like it's designed by Sideshow.

Oh strange. I wouldn't mind sideshow. I think they have done well with their AT AT driver and Tie pilots.

Regardless of who would make a better costume, I want a TT body and a matching base to the regular Snowtrooper from Hot Toys. Also, Sideshow's would be more expensive.

That's exactly what I thought and to push it a level higher, I prefer Hot Toy's shoebox vs SS boxes

Weird announcement. I guess Ht logo would be featured on that teaser if it were actually a MMS release and not a pure Sideshow products. Iguess we'll know more in a couple days when it's (possibly) revealed at celebration.

What? Did HT decide to let SS have this one? Was the Commander always a SS effort?

Maybe SS is a Commander from the new game?



This is extra weird since Sideshow offers only 2-3 Star Wars figures a year.

I mean from this it looks very much like a HT release. With all of the other HTs SW previews and the stand. I'd prefer HTs. I can't justify the HT snowtrooper but I can the commander. But all around yeah a very weird situation.

Weird that it appears they're using a Hot Toys base if it's a Sideshow figure. I don't like Sideshow bases anyways as they usually look cheap but kind of odd.

Yeah, Sideshow's boxes are flimsy. It seems like almost all the ones I have are damaged in some way. The material they use seems more prone to bending or something.

It's possible HT did the work developing this but decided to dump it, and Sideshow decided to take it over.

If that's what happened, makes you wonder why and also if a Veers could be coming from Sideshow - it's the only character the Commander interacts with, and it's the kind of fig Sideshow would do (military, not too much attention on the headsculpt/likeness, and they've definitely been ESB-focussed for a while now.)

Seems like a really strange thing though - announced as a HT fig, then seemingly becomes a SSC fig all of a sudden.

You always get a better "package" with Hot Toys; appropriate environment base, better quality packaging and the figures themselves are better. I hope it is a HT, really I do.

Glad it's Sideshow. It'll be a better figure overall, even if the base body might not be. If they do one of their special bases, it'll be much nicer than the HT rectangles and as far as I'm concerned, the boxes are equivalent (and something I absolutely don't care about at all).

It has been known in the past that HTs will show SSC products in the expos in Hong Kong. Someone pointed out that the C2B5 at the Rogue One exhibit maybe SSC's so it could be that the Snow trooper Commander was SSC's to begin with. The HTs base only say "SnowTrooper".

Hands look to be Hot Toys style. Other than that seems impossible to say. Seems odd that SS would never have announced it too. They announced that Droid.
