Plenty shipped in January-February, but they're out of stock right now. Plenty of retailers and ebay have it though. I'd go authorized dealer at least though, in case you need to swap out a part for replacement.

Yeah the ability to replace is important with this one. I had to have the dome and the lightsaber replaced on mine.

Thanks guys. I have plenty of RPs so I'll go the SS route, but my friend is in the States only till mid-May and they don't ship to my country. Puts me in dilemma.

It's hard to get a good shot with my iPhone camera. Forced perspectives and all.

Bringing him up a bit higher would be ideal but not a deal breaker.

Yeah, I have the Tama, the Taito and the SSC R2. I really love the SSC R2 and I have a blast with him (though with the under-dome switch on he burns through batteries) but he needs about a 1/8" lift under his feet. The wheels lift is screen accurate too. The stand brings him up pretty nicely.
