Maybe drill a small hole in the back of the cabinet, up high centered so you can run a wire through and stick a light in there.

I might try that. I've got a hole back there in the corner (the white gaffer tape is hiding the wires on the top left side ). Perhaps those circular LEDs from IKEA could work? I only have an Indreda LED strip in the front top at the moment. Looks nice in person but not photogenic at all.

I went with circular dioders for my Bestas and I love em. Strips can look good as well, really just preference.
