Without any doubt this is one of the best pieces Weta has ever done. Very very nice.

It seriously looks like somebody came along while the paint was drying and made a bunch of thumb prints in that cape! I hope that they aren't all like that.

I would expect those aren't really paint problems. I would say they where done on purpose. To show mud stains of some kind though they do look odd.

I hate being at a place where the network blocks my email cause I can't see if I got my shipping notice yet.

They will all look like that. His cloak is textured like fabric and it was done intentionally.

I can't wait to get mine, I can't believe they waited for this piece to start shipping to EU first. I AM SO JEALOUS!!!

Lol, that pippin shot is great, just the expression on his face.

If it becomes a problem, and a lot of people complain.... :rolleyes they'll probably change it (higher numbers)

I NEED TO SEE the ultimate MATCH UP

I think I can pretty much guarantee that ain't gonna happen. All 9500 are done so if it's on all then it's on all.

CT and Sauron comparison shot!!!

I will try and do this if I get my Sauron this weekend or early next week and someone else with a CT doesn't beat me to it.

Re: .

This statue may very well place in my top 3 favorites. My only reservation is the previously mention spots on the lower section of the cape. They look too uniform in shape, alignment and spacing for them to be random mud splatters.

Re: .

Hey Josh, I just found this thread now, though I saw another thread before with someone else posting the same pictures you've put in here- Thanks for putting Vikingmagyar's pix up!
And Vikingmagyar- super pictures there!

You should have some printed at walmart and make a little photoalbum! :)

A very amazing statue! I'm so glad I ordered one, though... I'm still in a not 100% state of mind where I"ll keep it. Just because I am considering potential drastic life changes. But even in that scenerio, I will have it in my posession for a while! And maybe I'll just keep it. <img border=0 src="https://www.maxwellsgoldenhammer.com/emo/rock.gif" />

Though one thing I noticed a while back when pix were first posted of SSW's sauron- is the miniscular amount of chainmail loincloth type thing.
examples: (click thumbnail to view full pic)
<a href="https://www.theonering.net/scrapbook/view/8532?q=sauron&g=1" target="_new"><img border=0 src="https://img-nex.theonering.net/images/scrapbook/b/8532_b.jpg" /></a> <a href="https://www.theonering.net/scrapbook/view/3804?q=sauron&g=1" target="_new"><img border=0 src="https://img-nex.theonering.net/images/scrapbook/b/3804_b.jpg" /></a>

The difference isn't bad because it's still a nice amount of mail and from what I can see in the pictures, it looks amazingly detailed... in fact looking like actual REAL chain mail just attached to the thing (I've made lots of things with chainmail so I can say that with certainty <img border=0 src="https://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif" /> )

Well, it's that time again- Time to clear space.

Re: .

that is stunning, absolutly stunning. WEll done sideshow :rock

Re: .

Finally, the one most of us have been waiting for! Mine has been shipped and should arrive here Saturday - unfortunately, since it's being shipped to my office and we're CLOSED on Saturday, I won't be here to ogle it! They'll redeliver Monday, I'm sure.

Now where the hell am I going to PUT it? My credenza here at work is already crowded with pieces that I want to keep here rather than at home!

Re: .

I'll begin taking orders for a custom jumping dancing sauron in three weeks.

You pay for the cost of shipping to and from me, plus 100 dollars for the equipment to make himjump up and down.

Of course this does involve some major surgery, but you DO get a jumping Sauron! it'll be one of a kind!
<img border=0 src="https://home.earthlink.net/~dstephan/gifs/banana.gif" />

For an extra 200 dollars, I know it's getting steep, but you get an extra feature- a Macarena Sauron! yep, you get him doing the Macarena dance. Who WOULDN'T want that? I know I would<span style="font-size:5px;">n't</span>!

Anyone from Canada receiving theirs soon? I should
be receiving mine Monday or Tuesday I hope.

Re: re

AAAAAAA
no please, I have not yet got my shipping notification. I do not want to get mine for a little while yet.

Re: re

Got mine from a boardmember as he was already sold out when I wanted to get him, and I had no idea the waitlist existed back then. Sauron kicks butt. Thank God for Sideshow or I'd have to collect toybiz figs...echhh.
