Very, very nice, AA. That kind of scenery is what a vacation is all about!

That looks like a beautiful hotel and surrounding!!! Great pictures!!! :rock :rock :rock

Thank you! It really was amazing and I can't believe how good the service was. I think it helped that we went in the off season (fewer guests to be waited on).

There were 2 large pools with infinity edges, and 2 smaller pools with infinity edges and swim-up bars, and there were 2 very small children's pools. (No, my kids did not go with us).

The hotel had two buffets and four restaurants. We had drinks at that big open-air bar every night.

I can't wait to go back. So, which of you Freaks will be meeting us there in 2012?????

Can't remember if I asked you AA but was this an all inclusive resort?

Is that you and your husband in the 4th pic down? I'm guessing if so you had some friends join you for the trip?

Did you hit Cabo Wabo? See Sammy? :)

Keep the pics coming, looks fantastic.

It is an all-inclusive resort. My brother, sister-in-law, and a girlfriend from work went with my husband and I. Four people in two rooms was about $4,500 for Saturday night through Friday night. I will get back with the exact cost when I find out. We booked a bunch of stuff, together, so I don't know exactly what it cost, right now.

My co-worker looked up rates, yesterday. They have a special going right now for $109 per person per night (I didn't see that for myself, though).

I'll have some more pictures up before the weekend.

We had lunch at Cabo Wabo one of the days. No Sammy :(

My husband, brother, and friend went scuba diving, too.

Nice! And the food was good at the buffets and such? Fresh seafood as well as traditional Mexican favorites I would guess?

Sammy's bar is pretty fun, always seemed that there was something going on there. When we went for the millenium party in '99 he played New Years Eve. We had a chance at tickets as we walked around that afternoon trying to find the best deals and where the most action was but we missed out in the end. The sign out front that was advertising for the party said "Surprise Performance" for that night which we figured was Sammy....and guess what, it was! :gah: :lol

We ended up partying for most of the night at the Rio and then went to Squid Row and Cabo Wabo before calling it. What a night and what a place. I would love to get back there and to stay in a nice place like you did.

Sorry you missed out on Sammy! :(

The main buffet was fantastic - easily 4 times bigger than our local casino. It's been a while since I have been to a buffet in Vegas, so I can't compare it to that. The only complaint about that was we didn't like the wine. (Oh, poor us, right? :lol). Breakfast and dinner at the buffet were equally good.

The Mexican, Japanese, and steak house restaurants needed to be booked in person, two days in advance. The high-end restaurant, Kristal, needed to be booked in the morning on the day you wanted to go. We had the opportunity to eat at kristal twice. The meals we had there would have cost $100/person in Vegas, easily. (The wine was better, too). Basically, the day you get there, the only place you can eat is the buffet.

I can see how frustrating it would be to go during a busy season and not be able to go to the restaurants because they would book full before you got to book them. The line-up at the dinner reservation desk started at 6:30 - 6:45 am. It opened at 7:00.

You should try there, next!

Everyone was in the pool because it was too hot to be anywhere else! :)

O I love to sit there and just bake, although my skin was made for that type of weather and climate. I never burn :rock

I think we are hitting Jamaica next
