"Return to the Village" Temple of Doom Indy

Finally, after 3 months, here is my "Return to the Village" Temple of Doom Indy.

Sean Ho and I re-sculpted the hat, Sean re-painted the face. It is by far my favorite custom figure. Sean added onto the Sankara stone(s) and painted them.

You got that "Temple of Doom" taper down on the hat, that's for sure! Great job!

What's the deal with the guy on the left? Why is he so short and why are his pants pulled up to him armpits?

The one on the left is the standard Sideshow prom. body... the other two are customs he built by extending the body into more accurate proportions in relation to the headsculpt... makes a huge difference in the overall appearance !
I gotta give him credit too for doing this particular Indy... don't think I have ever seen anyone build a custom of this particular TOD moment ( everyone always just does the torn shirt Indy for a TOD custom).. good stuff... great rework on the hat and head !

Those body mods are beautiful, especially in the comparisons with the standard Pro. I've always thought his head looked to big in relation to his body. I just went with a TrueType body and with that change alone he looks much better.

Wow! I know I already commented on this but man it's still one of the best. It makes me want to add 1/4 to the legs on the Pro and see what that does.

The original Sideshow version is laughable compared to your custom.

I have Miss Lee here in Hong Kong do them. She is a very talented and angry women in her fifties who makes custom clothes for figures.

However, I don't think she was angry until she met me. As I am insane, and went through several prototypes for each (and paid her in full in advance for each one). I also bring stuff back for minor adjustments from time to time.

The problem is that I always have to provide her the buttons.

But just look at the difference between her pants and the sideshow pants:
