I bought the sneaking suit version at SDCC. But let me tell you, when I saw the jungle fatigue Snake in that same display case at SDCC, I wanted that SO bad. He truly looks bad ass. Can't wait until Nov.

ohh yeaa! Cant wait to have that figure in november.
In the game I always play with all the camo fatigues.
Snake looks so bad ass in fatigues.

Oh, no.. Could this be a factory defect?! :horror Did you inquire with your seller if you can have it exchanged since you found a possible defect? I hope you can share pics, bro Furious1.

Bro Solidsnake, could you please verify if your figure has a longer left leg, please?

Now, I'm praying mine (which won't come until October, ugh) won't have any defects since it's gonna be part of the 2nd batch of shipment to our country.

This fig is sweet. Much larger than you would expect. One gripe. The left leg on mine seems to be longer than the right, making it a little more difficult to pose. But other than that, perfect!!

I take a pic of mine :)

Awesome photo, neo! Now I can't wait to get my hands on my Sneaking Suit Snake! :slap

Just got a Sneaking Suit Kai figure for $39.99 :horror! Glad I waited.

I don't know about Metal Gear but the FFXIII Kai figures retail for $39.99 at first, however they're not selling so well so the prices are just going down, down, down. Amazon has the first series at $19.99 each and the most popular characters were in that series, so I'm waiting to buy the second until their prices drop, too, which assuredly they will. I bought the first series all at full price and man did it hurt my wallet.

Whoa, thanks for the heads up on those FFXIII figures. I got out of collecting Play Arts... but for that price, I'll give it go since I love Lightning's design so much. But man, she would make an amazing 1/6 figure.

Are you sure that figures at Amazon aren't bootlegs, though? I've recently seen the Cloud and Hardy Daytona figure :)monkey5) on bargain price for $69.99 at my local Kinokuniya store. However, on Amazon, it's selling for $39.99. Not to mention the individual FFVII figures that are selling for $19.99. I dunno.. the Amazon prices just seems way too cheap for a set of figures that are no longer in production. Something seems fishy.

It'd be hard to bootleg a Kai figure. But here's a link to Lightning. I've ordered from goHastings before if I remember correctly, they were legit.

I don't know if Amazon would allow this seller to use their site if there was something fishy.

They're clogging up the shelves at my local ToysRus and I doubt TRU are going to stock Series 2 because of that. The game came out so long ago that interest has waned almost completely.

goHastings never sells bootlegs... they get official stock.

In fact, I don't think Amazon carries bootlegs either, I would imagine it would get reported and taken down.

I'm curious, why would it be hard to bootleg a Kai figure though?

Actually, bootleg kai figures have been in circulation for a while now. Just do a google search, and you'll find links like these:

In my experience, Amazon is just as bad as Ebay, when dealing with 3rd party sellers. I've purchased a few Gundam modeling kits in the past from Amazon, and unexpectedly, they turned out to be bootlegs from a company called "TTHungLi". And when I tried to file a report, Amazon never had the courtesy to get back to me . Not saying that all 3rd party sellers distribute illegal stuff, but it's always a gamble when dealing with them.

I just got my Kai figure today from the post office, and I can verify, that one of the legs is indeed longer than the other. But, for my figure, it's the right leg that is longer than the left :dunno. Weird...

Overall though, it's a fantastic looking piece. The figure is much bigger than expected, and it has a really nice, heavy weight. Also, the straps, pouches, and backpack are made of a soft rubber compound, that is separate from the main mold of the figure. There are just so many small details that help to enhance the overall appearance of this figure. The Sneaking Suit Kai is definitely worth the purchase, but I won't recommend spending over $60 for it. It's in stock right now at most distributors, and the prices have gone down.

I'll be sure to post some pics, and probably a video review, as soon as I get a display case!

That video is completely wrong about the boxes though. Square-Enix revamped the boxes for the newer versions of Sora (Master form and Wisdom form came after Final form). The old KH Play Arts boxes look exactly like the third box in that video. The figure is a definite bootleg though.

I have heard of Final Fantasy bootleg figures before, and that's the reason I stayed away from buying their Play Arts line even if I was also a big FFVII fan..

I hope they don't bootleg Metal Gear Solid Play Arts Kai figures. :(
The best way to go is to pre-order from a trusted retailer, since they will always get stock from their supplier who will definitely order from Play Arts.

That makes me think though.. Is it easy to bootleg a Play Arts Kai Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker ZERO version? It's expensive and long sold out, but demand for it has not gone down.. I really hope bootleggers won't do this to the ZERO version. :gah:
