That looks a little too good for me not to have it, dammit.
On old rubber boots that starts to crack you can use silicone oil to get them looking like new, but I guess that also makes it shine a little.

I think people mean the sound of ED's voice, no against your video, I don't think the voice is the same as it is in the movie (not heard it myself so can't comment...no speakers at work

Looks fantastic and can't wait to get it. Agree that sound from the video sounds like it's an octave lower, and some of the words sound like they are spoken slower than in the actual film. Not that I'm going to use the sound feature after I try it out as soon as I get him.
Rubber dome is indeed disappointing, but I have no doubt that someone here will make a resin version for us (and hopefully not charge an arm and a leg).
