With every photo I see, my desire for this to arrive on my doorstep increases! It looks superb and exactly as I always envision Vader: raw steel and evil a-la those first scenes in Episode IV.

Really nice mods on the domes and that chest box is super detailed. Thought I'd post a pic from mine. I reworked his tunic to be more ESB/ROTJ,and an extra Jedi robe.

Here are the finishing touches to my Vader. He's beefed up, a bit shorter to have a better height scale and doesn't look so lanky. The articulation is perfect, he no longer has the stiff look and movement that the original SS body had.

Very very interesting mod!
How'd you go about fitting the two different bodies together?

I actually took a trip to the hardward store and added some rubber washers which made the joints fill out perfectly and improved the tightness of the joints. I removed the SS shoulder and upper arm and added the Predator shoulder /upper arm, then took the joint off of the Predator elbow and added the SS Vader forearm back to fit the gloves. The washers were then added to the Predator shoulder joint and Vader elbow joint. Also, the SS Vader body has screws, just like the HT bodies do, making it easy to take apart. You can see in this pic how well the elbow joints meld together:

Micro,

How can I get my hands on one of these? let us know man...

Yep, it's a Hurricane Vader. I'm still waiting for him to be shipped or else I'd have a bunch of photos posted of him compared to Sideshow's. I must admit, Sideshow DID do a very nice job with their Vader despite its faults. But what I really wanted was a Vader that mimicked exactly what appeared on the screen in Episode IV, bad paint job and all. Hurricane said he could do it and I'll be darned if it doesn't look like he pulled it off!

I should have the figure sometime after the new year and will post some photos if it lives up to its expectations!

The helmet we're all using is from the most recent Hasbro versions, either the "Electronic", the "Sith Lords" or the Ultimate Villain, all of which use pretty much the same pieces.Of course, with the first 2 you also get the Shaw sculpt, which isn't bad and can be worked with(like mine). The Christensen sculpt from the "UV" set isn't quite so good...PS

I am putting together an ESB set up with a modified bespin luke and Darth Vader and as much as I love the first trilogy I must say I do not know much about the changes in appearance that Darth Vader has from ANH and ESB and wanted to know if I should wait for a ESB figure? Also I have been making capes for a while now for my batman figures and wanted to ask how the material on Vaders cape and body is and if you think it could be replaced with a better more realistic falling material? thanks guys

How long do you think it will be until we get a ROTJ Vader? I really want a Vader to go with the Emperor but i don't know if I should grab this one before he's gone.
