I don't know -- Ripley slammed Ash up against the wall pretty easy in Alien before he went haywire.

Not sure what's gained by Vickers being a robot at this point. If she lived, then it would be worth guessing what she may pay off as.

Thats true, it could be the difference in a passive mode vs an aggressive mode.

We don't even know if it's the same type of Alien or related to the one we're familiar with from the 1979 movie. It was similar looking, but it raises more questions than answers.

Makes me wonder just what has to happen for us to get the classic Alien. Perhaps an adaptation to the adverse conditions on the LV planetoids? Or another birth event in which it or something related to it impregnates something else? I like how it's definitely a start, but still distanced enough to make us question. The thought of more movies like this one is quite exciting IMHO.

Another theory is...

They created life on many planets.

They also created the Xenomorph. The Xenomorph is an incredibly powerful being, so they tried to destroy it, but failed.

So now they're going to wipe out all life, so nothing can become as dangerous as Xeno.

Or, they're using us for the bioweapons to fight the Xenomorph.

I think they already exist.

If you can't kill them, kill their food source. All life. Then 're-garden' and start anew.

Not sure if Xenos existed before Prometheus, but the mural suggests so.

Well they need Human DNA to create the Xeno right? Its a combo of us & the engineers correct?

So, shes not a robot, Weyand just waited around til he was 70 to 75 and then decided to father a kid? ehhhhh....

ANDROID! David was Mk1, then he wanted a more human Mk2 to be his sister.

Never know for sure and thats probably how its meant to be. Still, David was obviously not a standard model for the Alien universe considering he didn't use stasis while traveling, makes you think...

If vickers is 40 or so, then he had a child when he was 50. Wanted to continue the legacy.... Cept she was a girl. So he didnt approve.

Vickers dies at around 110 to 115 years in age, right?

Dog alien didn't need human DNA, right? Xenos mimick the form of their host to be better suitted for the local environment. That's one of the oldest rules of the alien; the reason it took on humanoid form in the original.

It's the future though, and we obviously are having children later and later in life. But if you don't buy that, who's to say she wasn't a test tube baby. Or the rich old guy just got a hot young wife. That ____ happens you know?

Guess I didn't pay enough attention, he was 104 when he died, that still put him at very late in life, 68 or 69 .... ANDROID maker, lol

That actually makes sense. The Xeno being an abomination would've been cool, but it still didn't explain the mural. This does.
OR maybe the sacrificial nature of the Engineers caused them to accidentally create them in the past and so they keep that mural on the wall as a reminder of what could happen. So just to be safe, they want to kill us all.

The sequel will be titled Aliens VS Engineers, or AVE, and that will be the direct prequel to Alien. It will be directed by a first time feature film director that previously directed TV commercials and Hip Hop videos.
