Thank you, Centurion! That sounds great to me, and it´s so cool you can move the eyes to make different expressions. One reason I´ve been liking ball jointed dolls is that you can change their expression with the eyes so easily, I never thought it would be possible with the figure dolls too.

Now the searching can start... :)

You have NO idea what you're getting yourself into :lol but the figure is astounding and as your first, you'll be hooked.

Thank you for your help and welcoming me so kindly! :) I am already excited about this. I know too well that it´s a moment to hold tightly on my wallet, as with the other dolls I´ve noticed "I only buy this one" are like the famous last words... ;)

Any opinions on the MMS42 sash? I like how it's already beaten up, but wasn't sure of its actual quality, and oddly enough I can't find too many pics on here.

I never owned the MMS but I know Buttmunch is selling his MMS versions so you could PM him

here are some links to pics of the MMS version though

I recently bought this figure and it is by far the best figure that I've seen so far from Hot Toys. I've been taking Jack to a bunch of different locations and having fun posing him.

Ok, I couldn´t resist more after reading these messages... I bought one from eBay. Now just crossing my fingers it would miraculously get through the customs... There will be about 27% tax fee of the full cost added on the actual price. :( Well, it´s life but I hardly can say I´d be happy for it! I just paid 130€ tax for a doll some days ago to get her home from customs...

Now I´m wondering, where I would place my Jack when he arrives. I suffer of too small flat... But I´m sure he will get a good view wherever his place will be. I must say I tend to keep my bjd:s a bit hidden as not too many people understand doll collection for an adult woman, but very likely a well-known character like this would rather get admiration of the visitors. :)

dback25, I´m already planning outdoor photoshoot for next summer... I wonder how much handling these dolls can take? I suppose they´re mostly meant to keep as decoration but it would be so fun to pose and picture him all over the great places. :) I hope the figure is not too delicate to handle carefully.

Congrats.

I can say that this figure can hold up very well to numerous posing.
Be mindful of what fabrics you're pulling on or what accessories are in the way and you should be good.

Interesting, the sash I saw for sale almost looked dirtier than in these pics.

Although I would guess these wouldn't have the magnets. Which I think the DX sash had? Unless those were added - I read a lot of back posts and it got a bit blurred.

I'll probably pick it up. It will either save me customizing, or make a decent backup if I do customize and mess it up.

Although I guess this one wouldn't have the magnets like the DX one. The magnets were in the actual sash, right? I read a lot of back posts, and it all got a bit blurred.

yep the magnets are sewn into the DX Jack sash. I never owned the MMS versions, but I don't believe they had magnets in them. In regards tot he "dirtiness" I would think that the pic you posted is what it will be like in hand and that the pics from the reviews I posted, the white int he sash is just picking up so much light that it's washing out the "dirt"

finally got me this bad boy

thanks to r5150s and armysoldier74b for hooking me up with the figs
