I came across this 1/4 scale Maria resin kit from KitKong's Model Mansion. Currently on sale. I don't like the figure itself that much, but I like how they made the base. It's closer to the concept of the movie, and it can hold some kind of lighting, which makes that the figure can be lit from the bottom, with a led light for instance. At least I think that this would work.

Well I ordered from a Dutch site. They where the first to offer it. La Cité was later, but they have a better price.

I'm still waiting for news about the whereabouts of my Maria. That really sux, taking into account how beautiful she is. I got a tracking number, but I keep on getting the message that the delivery can't be found.

Got her today. Wow! Great figure! I have one problem though. Her right foot is floating a couple of millimetres above the base. The peg is on the left foot, and that one perfectly rests upon the base.
It's not that noticeable. It greatly depends upon what angle you look at it, and the lighting. Even if you know it. But if you're at eye level with the base, you'll see it, and, I suspect that if the statue is lit from behind, you'll see a stripe of light coming from under her foot. I wonder how this could pass though HCG's QC. I'm a little bit disappointed.
