SS posted some better pics on their Facebook page. The smashed Sentinel and the gravitational field effect on the base look pretty cool. Still not sure about the rest though. They didn't even fit the shoulder pad properly on the body.

Yes it is just a prototype, but given Sideshows track record they 'rarely' ever change the main sculpt of a piece for the better, no matter the response it gets.

I don't get all the hate for this statue. Yes, it is a more "modern" look (no purple undies), but I like it a lot. I think the base is dynamic and the pose represents Magneto perfectly. This will probably be my last 1/4th statue and definitely a day one preorder for me. The ONLY exception I would make is if they release a Byrne Cyclops, but that will never happen.

I myself couldn't care less about the lack of purple underwear. It's just something about the body itself that I don't feel. Either it's just the pose itself and/or I think I would prefer the look if he was a bit bulkier.

Don't hate it at all. Just underwhelming. We waited a long time for him. Just like Thanos. Thought it would be more impressive. And I still need more pics of him.

Yeah pretty much. It's not bad but it's far from awesome. If I didn't have Daniel Bel's Magneto coming early September and the AoA Magneto pre-ordered, I would get this PF just for the sake of having a Magneto in my collection. But it's a piece that could have been done way better than this IMO.

It's not. It's fabric.

After seeing the proto it makes sense why they went with fabric since a sculpted cape would have probably been too heavy since his left foot isn't rested on anything (to give the illusion that he's floating).

I liked this at first, but the more pictures I see the more meh it is for me.

Just my 2 cents, but I think folks would be happier if he had a comic style suite with a ripped 6 pack and muscle definition popping through the suit... otherwise, the pose, sculpt and paint are excellent on this piece IMO! The levitation pose is great.
