Hey Guys

This is my Final project of University. So I went for something big.
I designed a lifesize statue of a woman with an anubis mask on. she will hold a Book of the Dead.

Shes sculpted from Clay, weighs about 50KG at the moment, but I still have more clay to add.

She will be cast in Fibreglass and painted Gold :)

Her pose has changed slightly from the initial sketch

Would love feedback :D

Wow - that is quite the final project. Excellent choice, I say. So far it is looking very impressive. Can't wait to see the finished pics. :duff

Great work! I've always liked Anubis. Something about jackal headed guys are pretty interesting. Love how it's realistic but still retains that Egyptian style, if you know what I mean. Looking forward to more!

Amazing. Anubis has always been my favorite Egyptian god, and this female version looks phenomenal.

Hey Guys
Sorry about the long absence, ive been so busy trying to finish this
Ive managed to get a mould done and a cast. Ive cut the arms, ears and fingers off before moulding and ive cast those seperately. it was purely to make it easier to mould

I hope you guys like her. sorry for the rushed updates.

I did plan to give her a book, but it covered too much of her body, so i went for a scroll, i havent photographed that yet though.

Id love to know what you all think

Cheers

I've only just seen this and I have to say It's superb! I do hope you get top marks for it. :D

Seriously mindblowing stuff!

First I saw the final sculpture and thought "wow." Then I saw after it was sanded and primed and thought "amazing."
Then I saw when it was painted black and though, "can this get any better?", then gold and thought "yes it can!" then antiqued at which point I lost consciousness.
