I thought lindsay lohan already had a mini blackhole?

The Earth?!?!

...but that's where I keep all my stuff!

The most expensive machine ever made, a particle Accelerator, that will hope to produce the conditions of Big Bang on a microscopic level. Some scientits say this may cause microscopic black holes that could increase in size rapidly and might devour earth.

I feel foolish giving this stuff any credit...and I feel foolish for disregarding it. If this guy makes a mini black hole that devours the Earth...I am gonna hope someone makes his last few minutes of life miserable.

On the other hand...we won't have to worry about McCain or Obama being elected as the next idiot in the White House.

Edit - The thing that bothers me the most about this issue is...nobody is coming out with a strong case of proof that this experiment isn't going create a black hole. most of the proponents are just saying that it is an extremely remote possibility.

yeah Im fascinated and very curious what kind of results it bears as they speed it up while at the same time bothered they put $10bil in an experiment that could easily be a total failure .... :monkey1

OMG! I remember this! Where's P!tu? He made a vid about this! :lol

Ah, I remember hearing about scientists attempting to recreate the big bang. I haven't paid too much attention to it though. Man, if that thing creates a black hole things are gonna get crazy. It'll be like Y2K all over again...except without the anticlimax.

You're right to be bothered, because from what I've read it's the exact opposite.

One of the scientists sounded almost certain that it would create dark matter, but he assured everyone by saying that their theories have concluded that the blackholes would be microscopic and would decay almost instantaneously.

I think we deserve a little more than a f$%#ing theory at this point...:lol
