As for the scale...no it's still off. But like I said, to have a full figure in the hulkbuster is HAS to be off. The way it was designed and the size it is it's anatomically impossible for a full suit to be in it without snapping Starks legs off. The shin bone in full scale is right around the waist area so if he moves the HB legs back it snaps his shin in half.

As for the scale on the KA...essentially the entire (except for the mid lower leg down) should fit inside the upper torso of the HB suit. And there should be twicw the 43 widths side to side. Like two 43 wide, but with him in the center making it half 1/2 extra space on each side. If that makes sense. Lol

It's closer then I first thought, but it's still not spot on. Nothin wrong with that as I said. It had to be done to work.
Sorry dude. I tried to understand that, & think I kinda got some of it, but confused on the other stuff :lol I get the part about the Tony Stark's shins breaking, but don't really understand the "twice the MkXLIII width side to side" part. No need to explain it further to me though. I'm not the smartest guy, so it might go over my head :lol

From what I think I understand, it seems to me like you're saying the Hulkbuster with the MkXLIII inside, is a flawed concept overall, & not specific to the KA figure? I thought when you said the KA was off scale, that you meant off scale to the movie version. Like the MXLIII was smaller in scale in the movie or something. KA, HT, & Concept, all seem proportionately similar to me in the pics below.

Looking at the direct comparison, the HT really does have those nice little extra details. I think I read getting the finer details in the sculpt might be more of a problem for diecast. I guess that's what turns some peeps off. Plus maybe easier to paint chip & things like that. But those don't really deter me from wanting it.

I really think if it was 1/6 vs 1/6, it would have been way more interesting to compare the 2. Plus, I think KA could have kept it in a similar price as the HT, & still be diecast.

KA's hulkbuter is HKD3900, and the mark 43 is HKD 1050, which add up to HKD4950!
and the HT hulkbuster with the mark 43 bust and newly announced additional accessory is HKD 5200.
you can see there is only HKD250 difference between the two!

and regarding the chest open up area, the HT one is much more sophisticated and more movie accurate than
the KA's hulkbuster.

The HT is 5200 HKD over there? That's around $670US. Wow. Why is it $824.99US on Sideshow? Crazy.

Got any links? I feel like sidestepping Sideshow for that price.

True.

I simply want to play with a diecast figure.

may be the size and weight of the hulkbuster incur higher transportation cost!
so you need to pay much higher premium than the other HT 12 inch figures.

I know Sideshow up the price, but usually their monthly $20 coupons & reward points help even things out a bit more. But this is an approximate $155 difference. Ouch.

Where are you getting yours?

HT Hulkbuster is more expensive here just like King Arts Hulkbuster won't be $480 like it is in Hong Kong .... let's see what the price difference is here when it's up for PO ....

At this point I'm heavily leaning towards HT. As much as I like that KA has die cast elements and it's overall look, by the time you factor in the additional cost of the MK 43 it just makes more sense to go with HT (especially since it includes the MK 43 bust). Unless BBTS has some crazy deal on this (which I highly doubt), I think I will be flexing the HT HB very soon.

Which brings me to how much of this is actually diecast? That is the main draw for me, that even tickles my attention away from the HT Hulkbuster. I don't want no lame 30% diecast nonsense. At the low end, I'd want at least around 70%. I might go banana's if it's 100% diecast :lol

Unless you wanted to lube them ha ... I'll let Motuxmen explain when he's around. He's very knowledgable and thorough.

I have a diecast Iron Patriot and they are said to be 40% diecast. Don't really see why it would need any more.

Hmmm. Didn't think about that. It has ABS in it, but I want it to be mostly diecast, or else I don't see the point in getting it.

To me diecast is mostly a gimmick to be honest ha sure it's heavier and metal but looking at the armors on my shelf the Iron Patriot doesn't stand out more than the others. But to each his own.

That said, I will have two more diecast armors by the end of the summer ... HT Mks 3 and 43.

Yeah. You can tell by simply looking at the promo pics that the KA might not look as good on a shelf compared to the HT. But I feel like it's more fun to handle something with a bit more heft when it's "playtime".

"Playtime" sounds really kiddie, but how else am I supposed to describe it? :lol
