Maybe whatever is used in that self cleaning glass can some how be incorporated into statues/figures, no idea how it works but I'd be interested in a collectible that could keep itself dust free that's for sure. lol

Got mine today...it was the second after the first one was returned about 4 weeks ago. I never saw the first one though, my retailer here in Switzerland took great care. And the second seems to be perfect, I'm really amazed. No obvious QC issues, but I get back to you with a full report after full investigation. The boxes were huge, have a look:

I feared the worst because of the paintjob, but I like it...its not totally candy apple red, but also not an obvious wine red...really depends on the lighting. Also the metallic flakes in the paint is quite cool, here a photo with flash:

Here a first vid on the piece to show you the paint apps. The light is a daylight bulb and should give you the correct color scheme:


Looking at the pictures some pages earlier I'm really relieved I was lucky on the "second one". Can't imagine the hassle if I'd have discovered cracks or big paint errors. Also the paint doesn't look "dull" or anything, it has metallic flakes and some deep layering, also on the waist part. The only thing I can't stand after gazing at it for some hours: the arc reactor is non-lit mode (just plain, boring, and bit blueish) and some detailed paint errors on the black lining around the silverish parts, it's not obvious but if you look for it you find it - and the magnetic front-left-chest-armor part could be bit better aligned to the torso (the magnetic piece that you have to put on).

But on a last note...its not worth 2k, that's for sure. But maybe having a good one will at least help keeping its value.
