I fully agree, that head is not great but it is the first articulated figure produced by Iron Studios and may be the only company that will manufacture one Ayrton Senna.

When I talked to the owner of Iron Studios, he told me that there are plans to launch other versions of Senna, and probably better quality from one to another.

The great thing about this story is the family of Senna, it controls all the products that are released and this too delayed production, Senna showed that last year already was to have been released.

I think of buying this figure even with this middling quality, I am a fan who wake up every Sunday to see your runs, and for me the F1 died with him.

That's very interesting news regarding further versions of Ayrton. I'm currently collecting DeAgostini's partwork to build his MP4/4, and a 1988 figure of Senna would be great to display with that even though they'll be different scales! I don't think the headsculpt is all that bad, but I think I'd prefer to display him in his full racegear with helmet on. It's a pitty that there aren't a relaxed set of racing gloved hands included, it looks like just a pair of fists and a pointy finger hand.

BTW there are some more pics here:

I would like to have his version with the overall Lotus, the Red Marlboro and the last one he used when he raced for Williams

What you meant to say was does he come with the front right wheel assembly...... Bad Joke! :monkey3
Seriously thought The likeness is off, Too bad they are only gonna focus on Senna. Would've been great if they made a Legends of F1 line.

i don't get the front right wheel assembly, was his head stucked on it?

When He hit the wall in Imola the wheel assembly broke loose and was thrashing about .It was part of that assembly (i think a tie rod) that fatally wounded him. His was one of many accidents that led to wheel tethers being included. If not for that he would still be alive today. And as much of a Schumacher Fan that I am, Senna would have been the most winning driver in the sport. He was if anything else, A Bat out of Hell in an F1 car. A true Legend.

In fact his death was not caused by the wheel, this assumption has been ruled out.

His death was because with the slowdown caused by the impact, his brain suffered strong pressure making it liquefy, exacerbated by a steering bar that came loose and pierced his skull through the helmet.

The Senna Family continues fighting against Williams until the present day, because the accident occurred due to breakage of the steering column, the car failed to turn and so collided with the wall of Imola.
Mechanics said the car had a very long tie rod and so had to cut it, made a weld at the bar ended up dropping during the curve, and the piece that broke off Ayrton hit in the head.

I had heard it was the wheel assembly suspension but the steering did play a big part. I found this interesting comment by Adrian Newey...

In May 2011, Williams FW16 designer Adrian Newey expressed his views on the accident: "The honest truth is that no one will ever know exactly what happened. There's no doubt the steering column failed and the big question was whether it failed in the accident or did it cause the accident? It had fatigue cracks and would have failed at some point. There is no question that its design was very poor. However, all the evidence suggests the car did not go off the track as a result of steering column failure... If you look at the camera shots, especially from Michael Schumacher's following car, the car didn't understeer off the track. It oversteered which is not consistent with a steering column failure. The rear of the car stepped out and all the data suggests that happened. Ayrton then corrected that by going to 50% throttle which would be consistent with trying to reduce the rear stepping out and then, half-a-second later, he went hard on the brakes. The question then is why did the rear step out? The car bottomed much harder on that second lap which again appears to be unusual because the tyre pressure should have come up by then – which leaves you expecting that the right rear tyre probably picked up a puncture from debris on the track. If I was pushed into picking out a single most likely cause that would be it."

Like he said we will never truly know.....

As I said before, Williams will never admit their mistake the steering column, put it on his back death from the guilt of greatest F1 driver of all time.
Employees who today are no longer on the team confirm that the tie rod was welded erratically, and filming when he enters the curve does not exist, because the disclosed recording exactly when he moves the arm to turn, the board camera off and exactly this camera could prove the breakdown of the bar, but oddly enough, just when the curve the camera off ...

don't be oversuspicious, lots of times things break down at exactly the wrong moment in time. we call it probability. small probability.

I'm still hoping I can pick one of these up here in the UK. It's a pity that the Nacional cap is an exclusive item as the ex will probably never turn up over here reasonably priced.

I don't know a huge amount about him, just from what I remember at the time. He seemed like a really good guy who didn't want to get involved in politics or the money (he was from a wealthy family, from what I remember too), he just wanted to race. Sad he died.

Looks like a solid figure (even though the sculpt doesn't do him justice) and I know a fan that would like this one.

Pele is an arrogant person, never did anything for his people but to fill their own pocket money, it has bastard children by Brazil that never helped, Pele is a person who knew how to play soccer as anyone, but a person without content.

For those who wish to buy the figure of Ayrton Senna, I talked last year the owner of Iron Studios, and as far as I remember he said something that figure be distributed worldwide ...

I will try to confirm if her license will be world and post here.

Great to know the figure is going world wide, is there any chance you could help ask for a method to buy it in HK?

Expensive. I would get one of Michael Schumacher though.

Lewis Hamilton himself will buy this Senna figure

Does he collect figures? I only occasionally check his instagram. The way he's going, there will be a figure of him soon too. I was hoping that Ferrari and Vettel would be more competitive. With Rosberg on the verge of cracking, Lewis might have his way till next year's changes.

Senna was a bit more handsome than that, but an okay likeness. Decent looking figure overall.
