Hi guys, I'm sure everyone is just as hyped as i am about the upcoming HT Iron Man figure coming out. Well I'm gonna need a Tony Stark figure to go with it so I was hoping to get a list of people for a group commission project on a RDJ sculpt from the movie. The sculptor would be Chris Howes, I"m sure some of you have seen his site or his commissions offered through ebay, here is a link to his website to see his work https://www.chowes.com
Chime in if your interested. REmember the more people they more the price goes down for each of us.
So far I have gotten 3 people interested
1.Myself
2. Toyadventurer
3. Metaphorge
4. DA
5. The Mike
6. Lord Vicious
7. Les Walker
8. Profbobo
9. Migwit
10. drjedisith

Dude, there are some guys who want to do a Chaplin, you may want to ask Chris about that too.

I don't know what HT plans are for IM yet but this is a great idea to do a Tony if HT doesn't do a Tony head to go with their IM.

I'm quite sure Hot Toys will do a Downey headsculpt (and probably a full-on Tony Stark figure as well).

Thats a great idea, although it seems like HT will release a figure, maybe even have a headsculpt with the regular. Might be jumping the gun a bit.

woah !. Hold on a few weeks man !. Hot toys will probably release him with an alternate head anyway , judging by the latest work I definitely expect it anyway. :rock

A Tuxedo Tony Stark would be nice.

Or even the Casino Tony Stark:

Most likely If/When HT offers either a Tony Stark figure or Tony Stark head it'll be in this fashion:

I think there is a place for it especially now that Josh is back in the game its going right to him. :lol

None saw this auction last week?

A little to pricey for me at this point, but lately I'm all about trying to pick up complete customs. Bashing is fun, but I have too much going on in my "real" life to gather all the stuff needed to complete each figure. I'll be interested to se how this one turns out.

That RD Jr. on eBay looked pretty good. I agree, too pricey. I will be interested to see what HT will come up with.

I'd like a Downey head for an alternate Chaplin. I met Downey in 1988 in Savannah Georgia while he was making the movie 1969 with Keifer Sutherland and Winona Ryder, and he was a cool guy. I've been a fan ever since, good times and bad, so I am glad to see him back on top again. He deserves it. But Chaplin is my favorite of his roles. Not that a Tony Stark wouldn't look nice on a shelf as well.
Count me in as a VERY interested party.

And Les count me in as a very interested person to see you paint one of these. If the price is right I'll get two. One Les Walkered and one DA'd.

No offense to the sculptor because I know he does great work but I just don't see Downey in that sculpt. There are hints but not enough to really commit to it. In reality I see more Tom Cruise as Tony Stark then Robert Downey Jr

Alright Guys!! The price has gone down to be only $35 per person, Just imagine how low it will be once we get a few more people, we get 3 more and its only $25 per person. The chance of HT making a Tony Stark figure is possible but what if they don't?? Plus we can decide on an expression of his face.

Chris

I'd be interested provided I could find a painter. Les, do you take commissions / how much do you charge per head? Would it be better to PM you in this regard?

Yup it'd be better to PM and at $35 a head that sounds like a steal!

I went ahead and put you on the list Profbobo, you'll definately be able to find a painter here whether it be Les, DA, Myself, and many others in this forum. Price jumps down to $31.25 per person now. YAY, come on guys at least 2 more people.
