Love the head!!!!!!!:rotfl:rotfl

Thanks everyone. It's been a long 9 months in the process and
we're coming to the final stages. We are so excited and can not
wait to see this bad ass painted up..:rotfl

2 types of sculpts will be made available, PM me for details.

Ike.

What's with all the ":rotfl"s :cuckoo:

Anyway, can't wait to see this and get more info on availability. :)

Holy crap, I just saw this on the Triad forum.
Those are some killer chest plates. Now I'm even more stoked for
my Van Zan figure release using the EVO bodies.

Maybe I'll make some more Quinns too.

:woohoo

These chest plates & arms look awesome and will work very
well for our Van Zan & Quinn figures and take the tatts nicely.
The EVO will really showcase Van Zan if you want him shirtless...:yess:

Is this the body you are going with for the complete figure?

No , if you read a few postings down from that, I confrimed with
the triad guys that the body in that picture is going to be on
some of their figures and not available as just a body.

Yep, I just caught that. :duh

:gah: :gah: :gah:

Dang it, Drew just updated me on the Triad forum. The muscle
body is for a figure release and most likely won't be sold on it's own.

The EVO still has 2 chest plates though. One is a little bit more
muscular than the basic chest plate...so I guess that will have to do.

Would have been awesome though.

As it's closer to getting the Van Zan heads, I've started putting
the final touches on the some of the weapons.

I'm in favor of the dark one personally, but I will be happy with either.

Not sure about the fishhook though. Will you file the hooks to look more like the prototype?

P.S. With the announcement of the DX04 being Bruce Lee (which I have no interest in), it is looking very likely that I will be getting this...

..just a thought on a related note: I wonder how the Bruce Lee body would work for this project...

Yes, it did have the meat hook. I do plan on grinding them down
a little so someone doesn't really hurt themself with it..:rotfl

I think the Bruce Lee body would work, but may be to short if
HT stays in scale.

I splurdged and got a HT Comdian body for my Personal Van Zan.
The arms and chest are perfect for the tatts. :yess:

I also got a Perseus body for the SE Version of Van Zan, for those arms are also
great for Van Zan's tatts.

I'm really getting excited about this project! :chew

Here are some minor concerns:

1) In the straight on pics, the head sculpt looks a bit too narrow. Beautiful otherwise, and probably to late to do anything about it so...

2) I am afraid of giraffe neck. So many figures get plagued with this, and I can see it happening here. The character had no sleeves to build up his lateral shoulders so even in the movie he has a bit of a inverted "V" shape. The collar should pretty much be tight up to the jaw line.

...seems like there was something else I was thinking of, but can't remember what it was...

I wouldn't worry about this at all. Daniel is matching HT scale, so
it may appear narrow, but it's right on. I think the way the
pictures are shot, has a lot to do with it.

The head comes in a neckless HT style head or as is with neck.
Eitherway it won't have that effect. I've done a few to many
of these to not make sure the hight is correct. I always test a few
unpainted sculpts and then make adjustments to all of them if needed.

This will be unlike any other figure. I've taken the steps
to make sure everythings works out, every weapon is functional and
can be held correctly. Remember, I'm my worst critic, I'm very picky and
I find I don't like something, I will change it, before I release a figure.
If that means a delay of 30 days, I do it, so that I'm completely happy
before he goes out.

Just a sneak peak at how the Special Edition Van Zan
looks with the HT Comedian body...just a little taste..:)
Don't worry, final tatt stencils are almost ready. But how
prefect does that Comedian arm look? I also have a Perseus
body on the way, arms look very close to Comedian. Both
of the chests on these bodies are just right. Not to big like
the Chris or Arnold body.

That is Van Zan...:clap

Well the arms are basically the same, so it will look almost exact, that's why I listed the picture.
I may still do the Comedian body for the SE, because the chest will work better for the tatts.
Though it depends how the full body tatt
stencil turns out. I may just have to keep the Comedian body for myself.
