A picture I took of Vader with the Death Trooper Specialist and Jedha Patrol TK-14057 Stormtrooper:

Great shot!!

Thanks guys! Lol yeah if that was a scene from a movie, we all know what Vader could do by himself. On top of that he's got an Imperial army behind him. [emoji33]

Fantastic shots IndyMOS. Makes me want the HT RO Vader even more now. God Almighty I really hope HT does a reissue of this figure or release their inevitable ROTJ Vader.

Thanks man! I know some people may have bought this for a stand-in for ESB or ROTJ Vader, but I always considered it Rogue One Vader. And it's a really nice figure for sure. With the way they showed it off at SDCC like it was new, who knows maybe it will get a re-release! Definitely looking forward to their upcoming ROTJ version too!

Admittedly I'll probably use RO Vader as a stand in for ANH Vader if I'm able to pick up Tarkin and some Stormies, but I definitely want a separate ESB/ROTJ Vader to go with Jedi Luke (who I hope to PO I this month God willing). I'm no Vader expert by any means so I don't know every little detail of his outfit but I know and see enough differences between Vader's costume in RO/ANH vs his costume in ESB/ROTJ to want more than 1 Vader in my collection.

It's funny, I've always been a stickler for accuracy on any figure I collect and new there were differences in Vader's armor from film to film but never new allot of the finer details until I became a member of this site many moons ago. And it's not just Vader or SW in general but folks on this site have shown me alot of small details I missed on several movie characters. This forum has definitely not helped my OCD:lol

Yeah I should've said, this is my RO/ANH Vader figure too. The helmet is the same as ANH just with glossy paint and more reddish eyes. Plus the gloves, chest box, and belt boxes are pretty much ANH as well I believe.

Same here, there's enough differences to the ESB/ROTJ costumes that I don't mind having another Vader. I'd also personally be interested in ROTS as well.

New Tarkin / Vader 2 pack announced by HT. They claim newly crafted gloves and an led saber. Maybe we'll get a free standing light up saber?

The gloves look the same as RO, hopefully they'll be more flexible.

First real cash grab from HT in the Star Wars line. Expected but still irritating.

I don't understand how this can be considered a cash grab. If they were forcing us to buy both figures, I'd agree. But as they're giving us the option to buy Tarkin alone, and they've already done a run of ANH Vader, I can't help but seeing it as the only play they can make.

Since HT don't have an edition number on the figure itself, they will re-release any of the figures as they see fit.

To be honest I'm surprised they don't do this more often for iconic figures like ANH Stormtroopers for example. Or Sideshow how about your Dewback ????

I guess I would've really liked a light up saber w/ my RO Vader. The hands don't match for the ANH Vader so it's sort of a cash grab for me if I really want the light up saber (I do). I could buy the 2 pack and sell off my RO Vader, but I prefer the under the armor tunic look. I'll see what I figure out.

First thought it was the only option. Yet, you are right, cash grab is probably a poor choice of words.

This being said, offering a slightly retooled Vader seemingly mixing pieces of a Vader released a couple years ago and one merely months old though marketing, arguably, the best of the two worlds is certainly gonna drive mad the completist buried in most of us.

Well, looking at the now official preview image for the two pack from HT, Vader doesn't have the shiny paint job and the under the shoulder armor inner robe, so I'd say this is firmly a ANH Vader and not R1.

I'm happy with my ANH and R1 Vaders so I'll just be picking up Tarkin. The new gloves and stand alone light up saber are really nice. I'd love to buy them parted out if I could, but i won't worry about it.
