Pics are good but there's nothing like holding one in your hand.

And besides I'm done with all the high-heel super ladies and steroids look of comics but that's a point of view that could bring a whole topic by itself. The figure is meant to represent Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, just a regular guy like you and me, not some jacked up weightlifter.

I hope there is major lens distortion going on there, because that looks terrible.

I'm all for Hot Toys changing things for the better but for god sake! don't change things to make it suck, god!!!



I'm starting to feel the same way to be honest. It somewhat feels like a downgrade.

I just don't know what to do, if I should cancel this... part of me says no wait for better pics then the other says cancel and perhaps save for the IM2 line. Ugh decisions decisions. What's happened to Hot Toys as of late. Have they lost their pride?

Well after viewing these Pics I am definitely holding on for a MK IV or a MK VI.
I'm sure the MK IV will have all the good points of this figure, combined with better proportions

Some nice photos there OMG. But, still, this and DX02, the few sure things... They both might slowly be turning into a pass for me.
All these changes (and problems = DX02) just make me think it's not worth it and I'm not even that bothered with the headsculpt.
This looks nice, but it's not exactly what I signed up for either. The modded one (by RRAAYY was it?) looks much better...

Might have to wait for the Mk.IV DX that was mentioned a while back or just forget about IM (but not War Machine surely?) all together. Maybe Mk.I is enough...

but i don't think their technique on making ironman especially the battle damaged one will be dramatically upgraded in the short future............

You can wait, but I predict there'll be wave after wave of complaints because they'll be using the same moulds, for the most part, and have relatively the same dimensions, as what we've already seen.

It looks very nice but seriously, thats anorexic. It's so thin it reminds me of those 6 inch figures.

Well these pics that Vodoun posted are not distorted.
It clearly looks too skinny. Maybe that's the price they paid to get more articulation. If the MK IV is as skinny as this then I will probably just get a Fine Arts statue

Yeah it is clear that it's too skinny/thin. But surely there is a way of posing the figure that will effectively hide that shortcoming.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to get creative here I think. But that's alright. The flying pose appeals to me right away. Maybe I'll try some invisible thread, the one that magicians use. It's extremely strong and should do the trick.

Seriously, is the headsculpt in the helmet just the mark II one? LAME
This one doesn't have enough oomph to warrant a second purchase from the clean one.

Gonna have to put this along side my clean version and decide which one has to go.
Though I am tempted to keep both and buy the Mark 2. IM shrine!

It's good that folks showed the first shots from the first film to remind us that the clean version is still pretty spot on.

Maybe, but there's always a change HT might get something more exciting approved down the line... I'm just not feeling this as strongly anymore.
Sad thing is I always wanted the intial release to be BD as I thought it was just too clean and shiny. I was excited about this when the official pictures surfased, but now I seem to be a little undecided.
I think I might want War Machine over this?
+ I wouldn't want to be in a position to sell this if something better comes along. As Mk.IV armor is very similar and I dont want many similar items in my collection.
But when my seller starts to harass me with this in a few weeks, I just might break down and buy...
