Ignore the masking tape on the faceplate, I still need it in place as it's only 70% finished.

yes it is. had a chance to get one but passed. the sculpt and light up base wasn't worth the big bucks to me.

oh yea. the seller was in taiwan i believe. i inquired when the guy wanted $800. then it shot up to $1200. i would have had a hard time forking over $800 but $1200 was definitely not worth the bucks. i got a MVI promo version from ss for less than $200.

if someone is willing to pay the price, so be it. but i certainly won't. i keep my personal limit at $500 max and won't go above that mark. i think any more than that and i'd have a buying addiction i couldn't control.

Agreed. Was sold and wanted one before, but now I have no doubts at all.

Painted it Gold, bought a polish kit and 3k-12k polish pad to get rid of the spray paint texture. Will have to wait for those to arrive before finishing this but I'll be able to apply the Semi Gloss clear tomorrow.

I will be recasting these down the road for those who are interested. Will update here whenever possible.

Looks great, but would have been even better if the inside corners were squared off. Still, much better than what Hot Toys shipped, if you recast it, I may be interested.

Edit: The pictures above show that they are squared off! Just a bit smaller than the Mark IV/VI eyes there, but still, really good stuff.

The new chest plate mould i made is away at the vacform company today and they are making me ten copies. I'll post pics when i get them back.
Fingers crossed i get my first MKVII this week and i can get it painted up and on the figure with a triangular RT.
