Pictures will be coming soon. I'm waiting until I bash together my Peter Parker and set up the brand new display. It'll look better when it's all done. Right now just 1 Detolf that needs some upgrades along with some new shelving. Once I get all that set up I'll post some pictures.

Im thinking about getting this soon, does anyone know if forbiden planet sell the later batch with the fixed shoulders? And is there a way I can tell once I get it?

I received mine today and I must say it's better than I expected.
The Garfield sculpt is actually really cool and I prefer it over the spidey head.

The suit does look too new so I'm planning on giving it some "dirt treatment" to give it that look that is mostly seen in the movie.

Will post better pics soon.

So im not much of an expert on HT or anything outside of Star Wars. I like both suits of ASM 1&2. Is there a differnce in quality or overall preference for one?
I see alot of hate for the new figure so im kinda scared to PO him. Any advice?

Go with what ever suit you like better. I personally like the ASM2 better. As far as complaints go, they shouldn't matter unless you think they are valid and you agree with what people are saying. It isn't a big deal to me and if in hand pics or reviews look bad, I'll cancel. But ultimately its what ever appeals to you best

I prefer the ASM 1 suit because of the texture - when the new suit was announced, I bought the first one at a cheap price as I have a feeling the price will shoot up once the new one is out.

:goodpost: Good advice, you're right of course about complaints and opinions, in the end it's only your own that should truly matter, and you always have the option of cancelling if you feel the need to do so.

Hey guys, just got this figure from sideshow and testing it out for the shoulder issues. Could someone point me to exactly what I'm suppose to be looking for? I haven't heard any popping and the arms can go our to the sides all the way up to the shoulders and back just fine. Loving this figure so far!

If you got it from sideshow you have nothing to worry about, but to see if there broken you could see if the shoulder can be pulled out of the socket easily, if so its broken

After watching TASM1 yesterday while working I realized that Spidey was battle-damaged for almost 80% of the time he was in costume, so I took my figure out for some quick mods after finishing my artist duties (on a Sunday). For reference I grabbed 20 or so screenshots from the movie (and noticed that Spidey's BD details particularly Lizard's scratches on his chest were inconsistent throughout the film). Took me about 3 hours, with mostly Burnt Umber and only little Black acrylics.

I thought it was unnecessary to cut his costume to mimic Lizard's scratches, knowing that the base body is black and might just make the suit material unstable, so I cheated by mixing clear epoxy with black acylic to simulate the rips, then painted an opening in-between the rips :) I think the hardest part was getting some metallic silver brushed over the frame of his eyes to copy the paint chipping effect in the film. Really happy with the results. Hope you dig my mod! :D

@ The Skull - Nice bash buddy. Great work on the custom skateboard too.

@HeubertMichael - Nice work on the battle damage. Those Lizard cuts are top-notch.
