I think before somebody want buy a HT spiderman first need know:
-too sensitive to the quality issue-es?
-need just only one, but updated spiderman?

I really appreciate your post. It helped me make up my mind and decide to just enjoy the black outfit version with Tobey's head and not try and mod the red & blue version.

The only problem with this figure is if change heads DO NOT LET NECK COME OFF BODY WHEN SWITCHING !!! A total pain in the ass to put neck back on under suit........took me a hour to put neck piece back on just to see if liked with out mask..I like the mask better but hs is great and will end buying another body for both looks...a very cool spidey....

Nice photos in here, love the red / blue one with Peter Parker head, well done.

I don't own the original one, but today I got the normal black edition...awesome, awesome...absolutely no problems with seams or bad tailoring on mine. Check out my video review:

The neck piece was very slippery too for some reason.

I tried a neck mod for mine and seems look pretty nice. Swapped the black neck for a flesh neck and rolled the fabric down to expose it a bit.

And then just roll the fabric back up to cover it and you can't see the flesh underneath.

I read the specifications mentioned.The artistic design of toy from the image seems beautiful.I am very much interested in knowing the cost of this toy.Also, I would like to mention that watching Spider Man movies has inspired me to buy this toy.Thanks for sharing information.

Yes. For some reason the black neck does not want to stay on the body. That's one reason why I swapped mine with a flesh colored neck. It actually stays on the body better when swapping heads.

It would be nice to see some kind of strong earth magnet system for swappable heads instead on the standard neck posts. Something strong enough to keep it on and in position but easily removed like a magnet for swapping heads.

That's exactly what I did. I went to pull the head off and the neck came out. So I thought "replace the neck with a flesh one." I like it.
Gives a great illusion of a dude in a suit.

I claim that this is the BEST paint job from HT to date.
