A few samples. Fair warning, I edited these to look their best. I wouldn't say that the photos are a 100% accurate representation of the actual figure. The way that I edited them makes for more contrast between the armor colors. The darks are not this dark.:

Also I took the base apart (4 screws) to show what was inside. The screw hole on the bottom where the batteries would be inserted is filled with a piece of small, round rubber. I pulled that out and there is no screw. So I don't know if they glued the battery cover on or what? I wasn't going to start prying at it with a screwdriver, and scratch it all up.

Still shocked and pissed HT cheaped out on $2 worth of electronics in the base and opted not to give us the light up feature

If your display doesn't have a bunch of these bases you're probably better off disassembling it and tossing the bottom half in storage (on the right in the photo) and just using the top.

That will keep your Midas on the same level as other figures on traditional crotch grabber stands.

The good news is that the light plates are there. About $10 worth of LEDs will light it up very easily.

I haven't lately. I was using the regular crotch stand something else, but I think it's back in the box now, so i might pull it out again, but he stands on his own just fine.

I would use the light up stand, but I don't have room on that shelf for it because of the detolf mod to accommodate Hulk below.
